Can markerlights increase ballistic skill for snap shots? Does this work against RAW Invisibility?
How about against the culexus assassin?
Is it different in the ITC format?
Is there any way to counter markerlights other than not getting hit? I guess the markerlights want to land before Invisibility?

Against Invisibility RAW, they can increase BS. No Blasts or Templates though as they are still Snapshots.
Against ITC Invisibility, technicallyit's a set modifier so you'll always fire at BS1, but the ITC play it as Markerlighys normally would, just you can now fire Blasts and Templates.
Not sure about Culexus.
Only way to counter Markerlights is to kill them, or hide from their LoS (or hope opponent misses).

OK, maybe this thread belongs in Strategy or General Discussion.

thanks for your help.
Markerlights still need to hit tho, amirite? So if my unit is already invisible and doesn't currently have any markerlights on it, that should greatly reduce future markerlights?
Anything else in the imperium that makes to-hit rolls harder?

You're correct. Invisibility helps a lot when dealing with Markerlights. They need to get the initial sixes to increase BS, which amounts to very few Markerlights total.
Not sure about making to-hit rolls harder. I think the IoM goes more towards making units durable enough to withstand hits (ie Stormshields, Bikes, Apothacaries, etc).

Against etherium it is always at BS1, but if we ever play a game you had better hope that we don't play by ITC as I will use those AP2 blasts and hope for direct hits 33% of the time.
