Should I do 3 10 man squads all with Volkite Chargers or should I do 2 squads with Volkite Chargers and one melee unit? I plan on putting all in drop pods and Sevatar in one of them I think.

Col. Dash has a pretty Night Lord tactical at the bottom of the page. For the points, the Volkite Charger seems to be the way to go.

I am only going to take two Terror Squads equipped with all volkite in pods, and one large blob of tacticals to beef up the numbers.

Bear in mind that if you're using the Terror Assault rite of war then you'll need three Terror Squads minimum. The rite dictates that you have to take an additional compulsory troops choice, and you must take Terror Squads as your compulsory troops i.e. you must take three terror squads.

After you've satisfied those criteria you can then take your 20 strong Tactical Squad.

Why must I always choose beween certain death and probable death.

Yeah, I just clued into that. I was thinking the compulsory two choices, then the third was open to other support or dedicated troops.

List changing time!

Answering the original question, I would stick with chargers on all three - you have other units which do dedicated melee better - Night Raptors are expensive, but their Bulky special rule means that they count as double for the purposes of outnumbering, so you always get the bonus to wounding.

I've used a bunch of terror squads with voltkites in 6-th once. Also, footslogging marines, deepstriking termies and speeder. Heard some good things bout 40k and how ballanced it is.
Ended up playing against an iron hands gunline with culverynes and a bunch of artillery that obliterated my entire army in 2 turns. And i did a total of 2 wounds.

Fluffy NL army didn't stand a chance there. Terror squads seem cool on paper but they end up too expensive and don't bring big toyz that FW loves so much. Maybe melee would have been better, i don't know. Still too slow on their own.

Thanks for the input guys! Also, if I'm going to have two Contemptors, should I go with both having dual kheres assault cannons or have one with kheres and one with maybe las?

Depends how much anti-tank you have in the rest of your list - although personally, I think that dual kheres is by far the best loadout.

I have a Sicaran Battle Tank that I'll be putting Las on, but that's about it for anti tank I think.
