Subject: I'm looking for a reasonable homebrew formation of Nobz.

Before the new (old) ork codex came out like a year ago, I thought it would be cool to have an army of orkz that just love firing rokkitz and deploying Nobz. At the time, I thought for sure they would buff tankbustas, and Nobz, so I did what any enterprising git would do, I bought lots of bitz from ebay for the rokkit boy in the ork boy kit and use them for 'counts as' tankbustas. I also bought 25 highly discounted nobz, on sale because nobody used them.
Tankbustas became maybe the premier anti av in the ork army, Nobz got a 4 point discount that still really doesn't make them useful for reasons I won't go into here.
I have thirty of these Nobz, assembled, unprimed, 9 Powerklaws, several holding banners or bosspoles, misc guns, none of them Kombi, but I could fix that. In my friendly games, it could certainly be a sight to see someone field 30 Nobz, something special, like a sweet formation.
Firstly, what is a Nob? A nob is an ork boy, by means of the ork pyschic collective, who has been acknowledged as 'bigger, meaner, greenier' (probably just luckier) than most ork boyz, the result of this acknowledgement has led to a mutation in size and greenness that yields an extra wound and some more strength, and also privilege to better loot that any nearby mek boy can turn into something useful. The Nob has not the teef to be a meganob, and he has not the teef to buy a gun to be a flash git, or on the rare occasion some Nob has opt for neither thing not because of teef, but because he has found advantage in not being Slow and Purposeful, or standing around a turn waiting to be +1 BS, but instead he opts for 'Eavy Armor. Back to me, I own the W!G book and both units have their own formation, Bully Boyz, and Badrukk's Flash Gitz. One formation offers Fear and Fearless to its gitz, the other offer mastercrafted to weapons in the formation. I want a homebrew Nob formation that capitalizes on the more assaulty, cheap, mobile, nature of Nobz. I have lots of ideas, but I want to know what doesn't seem like complete bs to an audience so that i can do this fair in a friendly game.
Here is a rough draft;
Rismonite's Nob Mob;
1 Warboss
3 Squads of Nobz
Restrictions: Each squad of Nobz must number 10 and have 'Eavy armor, Warboss cannot have a bike or mega-armor. Each Nob Squad must deploy inside a transport.
Benefits; All Nob Slugga's are twinlinked or can be upgraded to TL Shootas for free and all transports carrying Nobz in this formation get Boarding Planks at no cost. Any squad from Rismonite's Nob Mob may choose to use the Warlord's Leadership for any check that uses a Ld value so long as they are within 12 inches of the warlord.
This is the basic idea, I wanted to grant them +1 Initiative or maybe +2 for Sweeping Advance rolls, but I don't want it to be OP (especially don't want any bonuses for a homebrew formation when I'm already winning a combat :p )
EDIT; Also, to be completely clear, these Nobz will be deployed inside of Battlewagonz from the Blitz Brigade like 90% of the time, just something to consider when thinking about the BS level I want to do this with.

I am the kinda ork that takes his own washing machine apart, puts new bearings in it, then puts it back together, and it still works. |

The +1 initiative seems fair, but a question: would Unwieldy still counteract it? As in, they would always be I1 if they used power klaws?

Feels like a small point, but I would intend for unwieldy to still mean PK's attack at I1. I'm not looking to pull the wool over my opponents eyes here, I want some formation bonuses for running a gigantic amount of ork nobz in a formation inside of blitz brigade. Nobz are bad enough that I always have to set them on the shelf for better mathhammer like Flash Gitz, Tankbustas, Lootas, or even Ork Boyz.
Often times, I feel like I have to mathhammer/list tailor Nobz to make them useful for a list. Does my opponent have several squad of 5 terminators? well, time to math out how many nobz they would kill just before two PK nobz would mathhammer 5 termies to death. This is the kind of thing I have to do to get use out of Nobz. I just want a formation that competes with Bully Boyz to make the quantity of Nobz models I have worth putting in a list next to Tankbustas or Meganobz.
EDIT; Does my opponent often run 3 Land Raiders? Well, time to math out how many Power Klaws i need to glance 4 AV14 hull points to death and deploy that.

Oh there's so many fun things you could do with a Nob formation. On a basic level, I'd probably veer away from giving the Nobz upgrades for their Transports, unless those Transports are ALSO part of the Formation. Double-Dipping on Formations to get Battlewagons that are in the Blitz Brigade and also get Boarding Planks for free I don't think works RAW... a unit can't be a part of two formations. Even houserule formations like that would be a bit beardy.
Here's a few ideas:
Evil Sunz Nob Krew:
1 Warboss
3 Squads of Nobz
3 Battlewagons
All Battlewagons get Red Paint Job, Grot Riggers and Boarding Planks for Free. In addition, Battlewagons that go Flat Out add D6 inches to their movement. This means that with Red Paint Job a Battlewagon will move 7" + D6". If the Warboss is chosen as the Warlord, he automatically has the Waaaagh! Warlord Trait.
Goff Nob Krew:
1 Warboss
3 Squads of Nobz
Nobz from this formation must include the 'Eavy Armor Upgrade. Any squad of Nobz from this formation gets the Rage special rule as long as they are within 12" of the Warboss when they declare their Charge. Nobz within 12" of the Warboss are Fearless.
Deathskull Nob Krew:
1 Warboss
3 Squads of Nobz
All Nobz and the Warboss from this formation get Twin-Linked Shootas for free. For every 3 Nobz in the squad, one may elect to take a Kombi-Weapon for free.
