I really want to invest in some custom foam transport trays for my Tau. I was looking at battlefoam, but when I experiment with their tray creator, I don't see a riptide template. Do you guys have any recommendations for custom foam tray companies?

I just bought some custom trays from battle foam for my Tau army. You have 2 options for riptides:
1.) You can follow their tracing guidelines
2.) You can do what I did and use 6" x 4" ovals for the riptides

Does he lay down flat in the oval, or stand up straight? I wasn't thinking the foam was thick enough for him to stand up straight?
I guess same question applies to the storm surge? Automatically Appended Next Post: Ok, I see now where I select the thickness.
Thanks for the help. The oval seems like it will work great.

I’m a big fan of the KR Multicase system. A quick look shows they do have trays for the riptide, but I’ve not personally seen their tau stuff.

Not exactly what you're looking for, but for reference I'm able to fit the following into my GW Crusade case with some room to spare for about 1/3rd the cost of custom foam:
Stormsurge
3x Riptide
3x Broadsides
3x Tetra
3x Crisis Suits
18x Drones
22x Kroot
Dice bag/tape measure
Templates
and there's the added advantage that I can take all those models out and quite easily fit any of my other armies. With this said, 2 of my Riptides and my Stormsurge are magnetized at the waist.
It's not as good as Battlefoam, no doubt, but better bang for your buck IMO unless you have really oddly shaped stuff. If you are set on custom, I'd definitely give my recommendation for Battlefoam... I'd just suggest avoiding any of their cases with wheels as the wheels themselves are not very durable.
