I'm looking to add a small Renegades and Heretics allied force to my CSM in order to fill in the last part of my list. It's also an excuse to start collecting them. I'm going to run them out of the Siege of Vraks book with the new "The Purge" detachment. Any ideas for improvement are appreciated.
Currently I'm keeping the CSM as the primary to make the Plague Marines ObSec (and Rhinos by extension). I've had really good success with them and I think the mobile ObSec is more important than Ordnance Tyrant, but admittedly I haven't tried it yet (Siege of Vraks book in the mail still).
HQ: Chaos Lord (200) -Bike, Blight Grenades, Daemonheart, Lightning Claw, Power Fist, Sigil of Corruption, Mark of Nurgle
Troops: 5x Plague Marines (185) -2x Meltaguns
-Rhino with Dozer Blades and Dirge Casters

Heavy Support: Maulerfiend (135) -Lasher Tendrils

Secondary Detachment: The Purge
Renegades and Heretics (Siege of Vraks 2015)
HQ: Command Squad (70)
-Arch-Demagogue
-4x Disciples with Lascannon Team and Command Vox
Elites: 5x Disciples (55) -Lascannon Team

Heavy Support: Wyvern (55) Heavy Support: Wyvern (55)
I'm using the Disciples as "cheap" BS4 lascannons. I could just run the squad naked, but now they have something to do, so I'm not terribly sure about them yet. With that said I like this detachment because I'm excited to use "Salt the Earth" for the dangerous terrain all over the place. Hopefully more barrage weapons in the future.
I would move from Lascannons to rapier laser destroyers when you decide to up the points. theyre cheaper too.
Or you could go Double CAD take two Mutant Rabble groups and two Rapiers with 2 extra crew for 4 points less (keeping your Wyverns. Mutant Rabble aren't so great at such low numbers but they can roll something interesting, plus, you can use them as normal infantry once you decide to expand the list (if going the infantry route)
Thanks for the feedback. It is my understanding that Rapier Destroyers are only elites if you pick an Ordnance Tyrant. I could be mistaken though since my book isn't here yet, if I'm wrong then I will definitely switch to them.
In the future I'll probably get some, my only hesitation is how much money each kit is.
Edit: Double posted.

First of all I like the list, lots of squads, makes it very hard for the enemy to target you, and lots of firepower too. For the purge detachment I do not know what to suggest to you as I do not have the siege of vraks.
However I do have some suggestions for the primary detachment. I would not take lasher tendrils on the maulerfiends: they cost 10pts each and are worse than magma cutters, don't make the mistake of sending maulerfiends after infantry maulerfiends are strictly for hunting tanks. Chaos spawn aren't too bad but I fear they will be shot to pieces before they get close enough, may I suggest the tide of spawn formation: put a squad of nurgle marines (not plague marines) in a rhino, when they get close enough to the enemy replace the marines with spawn, I find that spawn are far more likely to survive in this manner.
Foot note: could someone remind me of what extra goodies the purge gain?

Hey thanks for the suggestions. I use the Spawn as a meathshield for the lord, so they usually do get shot up. In cover they tend to live for a long time, ignores cover blasts are my bane. Things like Thunderfire Cannons and the new artillery formation from Mont'ka are troublesome to them, but eating wounds is what they are for.
I had never thought of the nurgle marine tide, that seems like it could be hilarious. The spawn moving so fast is why they are a good escort for the bike lord, I use them in just about every list with reasonable success. If nothing else they draw a lot of fire.
The magma cutter/lasher tendrils I keep going back and forth on, You're definitely right, they don't kill infantry well at all and are usually tarpitted till the end of time. I want to try to use the Lashers simply because they are useful against Dreadnoughts/Gargantuans/Knights. If you send a Maulerfiend into any of those things with magma cutters they will be dead before they can attack. I like the magma cutters too though, so I'll take your advice after I use the lashers a few times if they don't pan out.
And FYI The Purge bonuses:
Spoiler:
COMMAND BENEFITS:
SALT THE EARTH: When a model from this detachment fires a barrage weapon with the blast type, leave the template after resolving all damage until the controlling player's next turn. The area under the template is considered Dangerous Terrain.
Forbidden Munitions: Flamers/Heavy Flamers may be upgraded to use chem flamers for free, and missiles launchers may take chemical rockets for free.
Chem Flamer: Template, S4, AP5, Assault 1, Shred, Get's Hot
Chem Rocket: 48", S4, AP5, Heavy 1, Blast, Shred, Get's Hot
If the purge gives them that why take lascannons? You could take chem flamers on your disciples and then sit them on an objective. Also, just an idea, you could stick a daemon of nurgle in your disciples squad and give them shrouded so that you could sit happily in cover and burn anything that tries to get you.

Lascannaons have a completly different job then flamers, namely they shoot at vehicles
Also Daemons of Nurgle can only join other units of Daemon of Nurgle so you can't do that.
Aye but it should be the job of the numerous meltas and maulerfiends to destroy tanks, I was suggesting it may be an idea for the desciples to play a more defencive roll seen as everything else is attacking.
I had forgot about that little foot note in the daemon codex, however does the chaos space marine codex mention this? If not a daemon prince could join the squad, this is not a suggestion to OP as that would cost 160pts for a +2 cover save, this is just a personal question.

Daemon Princes aren't independent characters, they can't join units
Very well there are still other options, you could take a psycher and put points into telepathy to try and either get shrouded or invisibility (this is just off memory but I am sure those are two powers).
But now I am getting too carried away with this one unit, ignore me and my babblings.

With those command benefits you could run 3 squads of infiltrating renegade maraders with 2 chem flamers each for 195. That's off topic but I might have to model some now
Thank you again for the suggestions. As pointed out the daemon thing is a no go. If these guys die that's fine with me, they're cheap and it means my more useful guys are safe.
As for the flamers, it's an idea but I wouldn't use BS4 semi expensive guys for it. That's what cheapo squads are for. But anyways, the Lascannons are for board control and to keep a few units in the back field. A melta is also anti tank but only up close, these give turn 1 threats.
Mainly the purge detachment is so I don't have to take the crappy troops with bad BS, and also gives access to the "Salt the Earth" perk. It also has 4 heavy slots, but obviously that isn't coming into play here.
Thanks again all.

Hmm that's pretty badass. I'll look into that when I get the book in a few days. That could be pretty fun.
