Hey Dakkans, I'm trying to come up with a few names for my Astral Claws characters. Does anyone know in what style the Astral claws names are?
I.e. blood angels are renaissance Italy, space wolves have norse names, ultras have Roman names...

But I'm struggling to find what style Astral Claws use.

Cheers

Looking up Huron on google will give you some guidance, apparently it was an indigenous tribe in north America with close ties to French settlers.

Have a look at my P&M blog - currently working on Sons of Horus

Yes but their master of the forge was called Armenneus Valthex, not a really native-american name

Their primary theme is that they don't have one, look at the Retaliator squad in IA9: They've pretty much purposefully given every one a name from a different culture, that said there does also seem to be a bit of a theme of rulership:
Veteran Brother Tamerlaine: Tamerlane, founder of the Timurid Empire.
Apothecary Iscario Seneca: Seneca the Younger, advisor to Emperor Nero.
Centurion Ricimer: Flavius Ricimer, de facto ruler of the Western Roman Empire in the 5th century, also the son of a Suevi King of Galicia.
Strike Leader Malaric: Malaric, last Suevi King of Galicia.
Battle Brother Raban: Rabban Harkonen in Dune, who was assigned governorship of Arrakis.
Retaliator Ajax: Ajax, Mythical Greek hero, son of King Telamon. Also the name of a War Rocket in the 80s Flash Gordon film which like the 80s Dune film was produced by Dino De Laurentiis..
Arch-Centurion Carnac Commodus: Commodus, Roman Emperor.
