For me, get my finger out and start getting my R&Hs built and painted.
Also, new army wise, pick up the Skitarii start collecting set and add to it over time.
Interested to hear what you guys and gals are planning.
Cheers

Please note, for those of you who play Chaos Daemons as a faction the term "Daemon" is potentially offensive. Instead, please play codex "Chaos: Mortally Challenged". Thank you. |

I'd like to finish my Orks, or at least get them to a playable 2000 point force - an army's seldom "finished", after all
I'd also like to play more. I didn't play enough last year, although I had a lot of fun playing when I did.

Eh, a few things.
1. Finish the last 25% of my Necrons that need to be painted. Then expand upon them more and get that stuff painted.
2. If there's a new Tyranid book, then finish painting as much of my Nids as possible and start expanding.
3. If no new Tyranid book, might get into Mechdar/Harlequins.

I'd like to paint the remaining 30k stuff for my Emperor's Children (20 Mark II tacticals, a few characters, and a Calth box), and maybe even play a game with them. I haven't played any actual 40k in over a year, and I've never tried 30k.
Depending on how other projects go, I'd like to dig my Praetorian IG out, and finish what I have for them.

I did a year summery/year goals thing over in my blog
Here are my resolutions:
As with the last few years, I’m going to recycle my old goals. Just a few tweaks this year (modifying 8 and adding 9):
1 Finish painting the odds and ends from my friend's SOB army that I worked on. Just a handfull of arcoflagelents, spare immolater weapons, some IG HQs .
2 Paint more then I buy.
3 Make a display board for my army. I've had the sheets of foam insulation waiting to be carved for years, never get around to it.
4 Base my army. Someday this will happen.
5 Paint my spare bits. I've magetized a number of things, painted the primary set up, but never get around to doing the other options.
6 Try to get more games in.
7 Update my blog at least once a week, and maintain a consistent pace of work (1 mini a week).
8 Get my Eldar army to a larger level, 2 more full squads minumum, with viable 1,500 or 1,850 point lists being stretch goals.
9 Enter and finish an entry every month for the painting challenge. If the monthly challenge stops, enter at least one comp in the year. In addition, paint something odd from the back of the bench a/o try out a new technique every month.

Goal 1 is to finish all my models that I currently have assembled. Should take 6 months if I'm consistent but a year is a good goal.
Goal 2 is to assemble the small stack of kits I have in reserve.
Goal 3 is learn how to airbrush decently well.
Goal 4 is to play more games with my Imperium force, preferably with them fully painted. Really want to play a 2000 point army with 4 detachments split between GKs, Inq, Wolves, and a Skyhammer.
Goal 5 Keep the spending down to a minimum until either the Birthday/Xmas season which is Nov-Dec or GW releases new Ork kits or bundles that are worthwhile.

I have two. One is to have ALL of my stuff assembled and painted by April 6. I actually started this in September. I've wrapped on my Orks completely (roughly 3000 points worth) and moved on to my Tau. For that I have to paint a pile of drones, a Riptide and a Ghostkeel, 9 Stealth Suits, a Devilfish, a Model Airplane I converted to be a Tau flyer, and two magnetized Rail heads/Skyrays. I banged out 30 some Kroot, 24 Fire Warriors, a Krootox, a Devilfish and three Crisis Suits over the New Year's break. Once all that's done and based/varnished, the last thing I have to do by April is my Imperial Army. Shouldn't be too bad. In terms of the stuff that still needs painted it's only um... it's about 10,000 points of infantry and vehicles. lol
The other resolution is to spend more time in the gallery on Dakka just commenting on people's stuff and generally encouraging the painting/modeling side of the hobby a little more than I have in recent years.

I find myself getting all bent out of shape over that rule. I grabbed two goblin halves to Battle for Skull Pass at Adepticon for about $60 combined, which meant I suddenly had 140 goblin models! Even when I do paint them, they won't be getting lavished with attention. On the other hand, painting 30 30k Emperor's Children and eight vehicles is only 38 models. Number alone don't tell the whole story of a backlog.
I prefer to think of it terms of discrete "projects." That can be anything from a large model, through skirmish forces, up to complete mass combat armies. One thing I try to do is to advance more projects than I add to, and to complete more projects than I start. I chose the word complete, because I think it's more open than "finished." An army can be complete, but still have stuff added on.

Finish my building and painting Dark Angels battle company. I still don't quite have all the models I would like for it either as I need a couple of Rhino's, another Drop Pods, and at last one Dread to get.
Second I definitely want to get more games in. If nothing else I need to justify the exorbitant amount of money I have spent on the hobby over the years.

Well, I need to finish my backlog of unpainted Cryx models first and add Goreshade3, Lord of Ruin, to my collection. He's one of the best casters out there and I plan to run him soon in a local tourney.
On the GW side, I need to finish my HH WE army led by Angron. I've ordered Rampagers and Red Butchers to provide the elite force.
Finally, I'll sell some models at ebay, even my beloved Eldar since its fully shelved atm. Moreover, I plan to get rid off my GK and DA armies. But I'm a bit undecided atm.
