Hi folks, I came up with this list for playing at the FLGS. (Dark Angels' Deathwing, Chaos, Grey Knight)
I want it to be solid and capable of deal with some semi competitive list.

List 1

Spoiler:
HQ Tigurius
HQ Librarian lvl 2, terminator armour (power sword)

TROOPS
2x 10 men Tactical Squad, w/ Rhino, plasma gun, combi-plasma, Heavy Bolter and Teleport Beacon.

Elites

Dreadnought (w/ Assault Cannon and Power fist)

Hammernators

Stenguards (5x combi melta) w/drop pod

FA
Landspeeder w/ 2x Heavy Flamer
Landspeeder w/2x Multimelta
Storm Talon (w/ skyhammer)

HS
Devastator (4x lascannons)
Devastator (4x MLs)
Predator (Full laser)

List 2 1750 points

Cad + 1st company + Librarius Conclave

Spoiler:
HQ
Chaplain w/ jetpack

TROOPS
Scout squad w/camo and snipers
Tattical, 5men,plasma gun,rhino

FA
2x units of Landspeeder w/HB and Typhoon
Stormtalon w/skyhammer

HS
2x units of Devastators w/4x lascannon
Predator full laser

Librarian conclave
Tigurius + 2x Librarian lvl 1 (one power sword, one power axe)

1st Company
Stenguard + Drop pod
Stenguard + Rhino
Vanguard w/ 4 veterans stormshield & power axe, 1 sergeant w/ 2x lighting claws

Vanguard will sit in the back and have a counter attack role vs deep striking or assault unit

I would make Tacs 5man, dropping HB, make Dread an Ironclad and probably have some Plasma Sterns on the mix. Rerolling 1 from doctrine on them is huge.

Rest is pretty good old stuff, if you don't mind your terminators never coming out of reserves when you need them.

Not a bad looking TAC list.

I’d have gone with a chaplain in TDA to go with the termis, but a librarian can do the job.

If you are going to use pods, there are advantages into going big. Put the dread and one of the tacs in them, so you have 3. Makes for a nice hybrid drop list. Putting the tacs in pods would also let you upgrade the teleport beacons to full locator beacons, which could be used by your land speeders.

I might swap one of the tacs from plasma to melta, but that depends on how much heavy armor you generally see at your FLGS.

Dread is fine for what he is. They might not be the most competitive thing on the table, but sure are fun.

I’m not a fan of DSing assault troops. But if you are, hammernators should do OK.

Sternguard are fine. I prefer bare-bones full squads, but suicide melta has a place.

My speeders have been spending more time with TML/HB then the close range options. But what you have should work.

Everything else is fine.

The 6th edition nostalgia is strong with this list.

Before all those fancy formations.

But seriously I think this days you need to design your list around a couple core formations - unless everyone at your FLGS is playing like its still 2012

Actually I see very few of them, my other list involves a Gladius Strike Force with a lot of free stuff but I haven't yet mastered the MSU style yet

You can use formations and not go for the full MSU spam company list. A list I like to do is a demi company (full tac squads, half AM/Dev) as the core (runs about 1,000 points) and then additional formations depending on the point value of the game. Add things like the optional dread and command squad to trim things out. For an 1,850 list, you should be able to use a 1st company TF and get your vets in. What else to use depends a lot on your collection.

Formations offer free power, at the cost of restricting yourself at list building. While the free transports of the full company list are very nice, it does have a high buy in, as you are going to be locked into a MSU build unless you are playing crazy high points. But there are other things with nice perks you can add. Remember that most of them can be taken by themselves, so if you want to take a CAD + 1st co. TF you can. You don’t need to be locked into the Gladius. Although it is nice.

Your list is not set up for them. Normally I try to look at CAD lists and see how easy they would be to rejigger to take advantage of formations. There is no easy swap for you

Couple quick thoughts ideas:

You've got 2 dev squads - thats half a skyhammer formation

You've got 2 libbies - thats almost a libby conclave

Maybe try to work 1 of those in

I was thinking the same.
Restyling the list with a Demi-Company as suggested by Nevelon and work around it.

1st company Task Force has some little bonus, maybe with 2x5 men stenguard and 1 terminator w/ assault cannon.

But taking this one option would prevent me to take the skyhammer formation (lack of drop pod models).

Talking about the Librarian Conclave I could downgrade the 2 extra librarian and send them with Tigurius or near him. That would be 3 power per turn almost guaranteed (2+ rerolling).
