Hello everyone, my gaming grou at my FLGS has announced a challenge, where we will all this year build and paint up a 1250pt. force to play against each other and to breathe some life back into the hobbying aspect of the game. After looking over what armies we did not have playing at the store I decided to go with Necrons to add some variety and to give me the excuse to use some of their cool looking units. Now the idea is to build a fun but decent list utilizing the units found in said battleforce as much as possible. Now this is my first attempt ever when it comes to Necrons so any and all help is appreciated. Thanks for posting!

So what models do you have access to? You don't have a lot of bodies to take advantage of the Stalkers' +1 BS ability.

I obviously need to read the Codex, I didn't realize that they gave +1 BS! Actually made this list off of Battlescribe

Heh, well now you know. That's pretty much the only reason to take a Stalker. If you really want to use the Stalker, I suggest dropping the second stalker and the Doomscythe in order to run more Warriors and maybe a Ghost Ark to repair some warriors.

Though I don't know if this fits your plan of using as much of the starter set as possible since I'm not sure what is in the starter set.

I find the Stalkers work great with the linked heavy guass in conjunction with Heavy destoyers. Gives them a hit on 2 with a re-roll of 1s from preferred enemy.

Alright guys I have updated my list, let me know what you think! The tactics behind it:

-Illuminor will go with the Heavy Destroyers basically giving me a nasty 36inch range squad of anti-armor death.

-x2 Squads of x10 Immortals because I love how the models look and running around with Heavy Bolters is pretty awesome.

-x2 Triach Stalkers with Particle Shredders to assist in anti-infantry duites and to boost the BS of the Heavy Destroyers and Immortals.

-x6 Wraiths to run up the field and terrify my opponent and also to draw fire.

-x1 Nightscythe for anti-air capability
