Just bought this lot of Chaos daemons and I have a little extra cash laying around I'm trying to make a competitive 1850 list out of this any tips how to make it competitive or what to buy to make it competitive
1 Bloodthirster
2 Lord of Change
1 Fateweaver
1 Forgeworld Great Unclean One
2 Nurgle Daemon princes
1 Black Daemon prince
50 pink horrors
40 daemonettes
20 seekers Basecoated
1 Tzeentch chariot unpainted
1 herald of tzeentch with a disc

It looks to me like you've inherited a flying circus type army. It still can be a strong build imo but not the easiest to use. If you want a more rounded Daemon list I'd consider some of their fast attack options which are generally very useful. Some screamers would combine well with your disc herald but flesh hounds and plague drones are also strong. I'd also pick up some Soulgrinders if you can as they are versatile and tough.

If your black DP is Be'lakor or can be used as such, get a unit of CSM cultists so that you can take him as HQ in an allied detachment so that you can leave your Daemon HQ slots available if need be. This could be needed in a nurgle flying circus list for example to bring Fateweaver and a GUO. If you don't have Be'lakor or a suitable proxy I'd get one for sure. I find that Fateweaver, Be'lakor and a DP with the grimoire usually make the core of any flying circus list I use.

With your greater daemons and DPs it's almost always worth taking lots of upgrades, particularly 2x greater rewards and wings on the Nurgle DP so they can jink for 2+ cover in the open. It may seem a lot of points to add to already expensive units but they just make them so much more survivable. It really is a case of go big or go home. For example I don't find Bloodthirsters work very well in a Khorne Daemonkin list as they just get focused down too easily but in a Daemons list with greater rewards they can really take some heat and make it into assault where they want to be.

Alan Bajramovic's daemon list that won BAO (which was this past july) is some what close to the model collection you have

I'm not super familiar with how this particular list plays out (you can probably poke around the internet to find some bat reps of his games from BAO 2015 to get a good idea).

Yep that's a great list and having used something similar myself I can confirm it's definitely competitive. It's essentially a variation on a flying circus list. Like I mentioned before it has the core of Fateweaver, a DP with the grimoire and Be'lakor. The Bloodthirster is used as one of the main threats, again note how it has two greater rewards for protection. Along with being buffed with invisibility and/or the grimoire if needed, the BT is tough enough to stay on the ground and charge things.

The Heldrake fits in well as a cheap 5th flyer and is still a great unit. The horrors can hide in the bastion and provide a warp charge battery as well as manning the comms relay. This is used for reserve manipulation in case you have to start some of the FMC off the board if you're going 2nd and facing an alpha strike, and also to control when the Heldrake comes on for maximum effectiveness.

I've also tried a 2k list similar to this with a Chaos Knight instead of the BT which is equally brutal.

It is annoying but thats what Invis and the grimoire are for. 8 D attacks on the charge is nothing to sneeze at especially when backed up by a bunch of psychic buffs. Thats said, I feel like the hay day of this type of list came before Battle Companies, Superfriends Wolfstars and NewDar though and it struggles mightily against them. One of these severely out-Deathstars any thing Daemons can muster and the other two are the most potent MSU armies in the game currently.
