Boom! Leman Russ Commander
|
So I've looked around and haven't seen it clearly posted anywhere but with the new bundle for guard what is their formation? All I've seen is that if the infantry stay close to the Russ they have a 4+ cover save. What's the formations restrictions and how close to the Russ do they have to be???
Thanks!

I would imagine it would be 6 inches but I'm just speculating until my starter sets actually turn up Automatically Appended Next Post: I would imagine it would be 6 inches but I'm just speculating until my starter sets actually turn up

This sword cord makes no sence. It literally prohibits him from swinging it around and there's no way he can reach anyone. Maybe it's just made for the reason that it won't get too easilly lost after the wielder gets killed.

1 infantry squad?
Do they mean a veteran squad? Because the only way to even take an infantry squad is part of a platoon.

It's an infantry squad. In alternate list compositions there's been a way or two to take basic infantry squads outside the platoon composition (like the Armored Battle Group Armored Fist squads.)

If it was Veterans then maybe I would be interested but regular bods.... No thanks. Also that Commissar feels like a bit of a tax.

Maybe it's stretchy. Like a bungee cord.

Also that Commissar feels like a bit of a tax.
Depends on the way the rule is worded. After all, the commissar isn't necessarily nailed to the infantry squad; potentially he could be attached to a blob somewhere (useful to get a high Ld to pass order checks and resist Ld-based attacks), and might even be able to pass on his cover save to the unit. Unlikely, but depends how the rule is worded.

Or perhaps there's more of it in the backpack.

There's sence in linking a weapon to your arm and people historically have done this. But the link was quite short so that it didn't get into a way of movement which is vital. But when it's linked to your back, even if the link is 'stretcy', it still constricts movement a lot and you can get caught into your own cord. I'd simply cut it off. Or if a cord is very important, connected it to the back of his arm so that it doesn't get into a way when swinging and moving around.
