I never remember; is the blue ALEPH CCW exp or armor piercing?
Explosive or DA. Achilles and Phoenix both have blue CCWs, and they have EXP and DA respectively.
Red is AP.

Red = AP (Ekdromoi)
Blue = Exp or DA (Achilles/Patroclus Exp or Diomedes/Phoenix/Eudoros DA)
Yellow = Nanofilament (Penthesilea)
Purple = E/M (Scylla)
Metal = Vanilla (Nesaie)
Green = Shock (YuJing Daofei and CA Witch-Doctors)

Looking at other armies with lots of CCWs like Yu Jing, it seems that this color pattern is consistent.

♫♫I'm a little tinbot, short and stout...♫♫
How much rage will this tinbot induce? As much as the Janissary's? (Apparently, some players want to be able to shoot it, because it is a miniature on the table. But it is really just a marker, and thus unshootable. Cue nerd-rage in 3, 2, 1... ) It is a nice addition, and the helmet is a nice touch.

A good month. The Su-Jian is the pick of the litter. The Bandit and The Hector are very good. The remaining 2 are just nice, but a bit bland, IMHO.

Now begins the wait for the Human Sphere announcement...

No rage here, but also not much excitement. Will hold off until we get better angles. So far not impressed.

The Jannisary Tinbot is adorable, but my nerd rage at the box is they charged us full price for a 4 model box and included the Tinbot which is simply a marker. I would have much preferred a standard Jannisary Rifle and no Tinbot model for the price I paid for the Jannisary box.

I'd be tempted to lop off the Tinbot's head and use it for Hector's head. The helmet might look cool.

I probably wouldn't put Hector's head onto the Tinbot...probably...

Sure, put a Hector head on it. make it a Hector Mini Me.

Loki, I agree. As cute, or kawaii, as the tinbot is, I too would have preferred the AP rifle version, but I think that CB is reserving that for the Starter Box. Maybe. The Janissary box is US $1 more than the Mobile Brigada box (to compare recent HI box prices) Possible the tinbot was included because adding a 4th janissary would have really jacked up the price. They are big minis, lots of metal, and many parts.

Now, with the inclusion of the Trojans will we be seeing Paris, or even Helen, in the near future? Given the way that CB oft-times sculpts female minis, I do wonder how they would sculpt Helen of Troy...

If you play Aleph, you probably have one or two Yudbots lying around after getting the Netrods. That'd make a nice Tinbot head.

New Su jian profiles and Hector are up on infinity army. Hector is a beast and Su Jian got some nice buffs.

Thanks, that explains why the forums are down for me again. Seems any news is enough to wipe them out for an hour or two. Thank god for Dakka!

Can't wait to see the stats for the Su Jian as I've just ordered one of the old ones at a discount. Guess I'm starting a Yu Jing army! There are some beautiful releases so far and we're only 2 months in to the year of Yu Jing, it was going to capture me at some point.

Well it has a new profile with an HSG instead of a spitfire fro roughly the same cost as the current one minus the SWC. The spitfire profile has gone up by 4 points to pay for:
+1 BS
+1 Arm
8-2 move in mobility
No wound Incap
Kinematica 2 in mobility
I think that's it.

That sounds good, especially having a 0SWC option. NWI plus an extra ARM? Tough and fast is a combination I'm all over.

Does anyone think the Su Jian will be accessible to the Invincible Army? If so, then I think I could get away with using the old kit as an older model in service with the ISS and the new one being a military model.
Very likely. Both have a distinctive black&yellow symbol unique amongst all the Yu Jing profiles.

Spoiler:

I'm a little surprised by the changes to the profile from the one Abs posted. A net loss of 2 move in High Mobility (going from 6-6 to 8-2), an increase in BS, but the thing that confuses me most is the combination of adding No Wound Incapacitation to G:Remote Presence.

As I understand it, that means that Su-jian functionally acts as if it has 3 wounds, right? Or 4? G:RP gives it a second "unconscious" state, and NWI allows you to act while unconscious... right? The Wiki isn't loading so I may be getting either or both of those points wrong.

I'm a beginner but yeah, as I understand it it's got 4 wounds but terms and conditions apply. I managed to get on army 5 to check out the profile, its 59 2SWC with spitfire or 54 with heavy shotgun. That's pretty comparable to the gecko with its 3 STR but with some better stats and a smaller silhouette in either form , seems like a bargain to me.

The 8-2 move is better then 6-6 move, if you think about all the implications.

As for the effect of NWI, check out the FAQ for Vodged and G:RP for a idea of how NWI will react with G:RP.

Hector's stats are up. He has Enomotarchos! ...but for what?

He's basically really a commandery variant of Achilles.

Ah, I see it now:

"You can feel the flavor in the differences with Achilles. Thanks to his Fireteam: Enomotarchos, Hector is able to form a four men Fireteam, but with a distinguishing feature. Hector can form a Fireteam: Enomotarchos with any of the Steel Phalanx line troops be it a Thorakitai Fireteam, Myrmidon Fireteam, or Dactyl Fireteam. A true example of the definition of leader."

Damn, was hoping for a HI 'basic' ASS unit.

The change is consistent. For instance Joan in mobility armour has 6 - 2 movement.

Hector is brutal, linked he's going to dominate a table given a chance. The silver lining is lack of ODD, meaning he's a tempting target for snipers and teardrop weapons. It gives me hope that my attack pieces such as Father Knight could go against him and had reasonable chance to come on top.

I always find the artichoke thing funny, because it only started when Angel changed the studio scheme. In the books, the artwork has the hair yellow, and the gills green. Angel swapped it around for painting the models. The artwork just looks like yellow hair.
