So I've spent the past couple of weeks researching a new game for the new year. In the end I settled on Dreadball, and I'm excited to get my first games in, but all the while I was plagued by the nagging feeling that I might be missing out on something awesome I just didn't know about or had overlooked.
So, in order to broaden my horizons, I though I'd start a thread to share all those..
-small games
-bits makers
-mini makers
-game aids, tokens and knowwhats makers
-retailers and blogs that people feel have been overlooked, or just deserve more attention.

The correct statement of individual rights is that everyone has the right to an opinion, but crucially, that opinion can be roundly ignored and even made fun of, particularly if it is demonstrably nonsense!” Professor Brian Cox

Spoiler:
My absolute favorite fantasy skirmish game. A bit on the Beer and Pretzels end of things, but based around a very clever activation mechanic that makes every decision count. It's generic with a unit builder so you finally have a use for all those cool fantasy figs that don't go with a game you're actively playing. Lastly, it's one of the most extensively playtested games. Now in it's 5th version, and it also has lots of great expansions.
The best $8 you will spend in gaming
Necromundcon.
www.ironhands.com Still one of the best refferences for DIY terrain and gaming.
Spoiler:
An actual personal gaming website! Many old-timers know of this site that has been going since the mid-90's. It's not as actively updated as it used to be, but it's packed with great terrain ideas, often centering around obscure materials or converting terrain from toys and junk. No one greebles like Sean Patten. In addition to the "necromundicon" section http://www.ironhands.com/necro.htm which centers on 40k, Necromunda and Mordheim, the other game sections have brilliant ideas for terrain. Explore every corner of the site because it's not all obvious where everything is and make sure you check out the Votoms Campaigns for amazing narrative batreps. http://www.ironhands.com/v2camp01.htm

Bought from the Dark Works before, it's some quality stuff
War Kitten- Nothing evens the odds like a reaper chainsword to the naughty bits
Sgt. Vanden- And now I'm a whale with panties. Can't see how this day can get any better.
I'm aware of those KK, I didn't intend for this to replace those, more for it to give people a chance to highlight their favourites, and to also talk about things beyond those (ie blogs, retailers of hard to get items etc etc)

Lovecraftian skirmish game with lots of material for light roleplaying, progression, tons of scenarios and very characterful rules.
I play (and it's my favourite game). The Kickstarter thread had quite a bit of interested so I wouldn't be surprised if a few others around here played as well.
