I am expecting everything from cheesy Eldar scatter-bike spam, to Gladius Strike Force razors, to that damn War Convocation. Time to bring it!

1848 - Decurion

Reclamation Legion
Overlord - staff of light
Warriors x10 - ghost ark
Warriors x10 - ghost ark
Immortals x5 - night scythe
Lychguard x5 - night scythe
Tomb Blades x3 - vanes, scopes, gauss blasters
Tomb Blades x3 - vanes, scopes, particle beamers
Tomb Blades x3 - vanes, gauss blasters

Canoptek Harvest
Spyder
Scarabs x3
Wraiths x5 (naked)

Deathbringer Flight
Doom Scythe
Doom Scythe

I know War Convocation and Knights have issues with fliers, hence why we have so many here. The Tomb Blades are focused on doing what they do best (snagging objectives and ruining the jink saves of scatter-bikes). I feel its a nice balance of shooting and CC, but would love your opinions. Its tough to find the what is being run in the meta on the net when it come to Decurions. I am guessing that's because its good any way you slice it.

Thanks all!

Knights are generally armour 13/14 which isn't going to be affected by the twin-linked tesla destructors (s7) at all. Bear that in mind - those two nightscythes might be better spent elsewhere?

Doomscythes will take a min 2 turns to kill a knight, so you're looking at turn 3 minimum, with ideal positioning, to kill one. Are you sure that's such a great plan? Wouldn't you rather spam warriors who can gauss glance it (and any MCs / GMCs) to death by turn two?

Love the tomb blades. IMO particle beamers aren't worth it and you'd be better buying scopes for your third squad.

Your overlord looks pretty killable. No 4++ or 2+ with wargear? No warscythe, the best CC weapon in the game?

I have little experience with Lychguard so I'm not sure what role they'll fulfill in this list. It's my understanding that you want a beefed up Overlord to join them (or at least one with the solar staff or warscythe). Having a naked Overlord with staff of light seems like a waste. Perhaps you can drop a Wraith or 2 to beef him up?

Just took the list against War Convocation and got tabled... That detachment is so frustrating to play against!

Although I don't encourage cheesey list building, (it's lame and ruins the game), in ultra-competitive environments successful Necron lists run Wraiths, lots and lots of Wraiths. Take the Decurion bare bones, zero upgrades and max out on Canoptek Harvests.

I agree... The issue lies in the tournaments that do not let you duplicate formations. I have 18 Wraiths painted and ready to go, held over from the WraithWing days. Just need to paint up their accompanying Spyders. Starting to think that maybe the strength in Necrons is in CC, not shooting...

Not surprised, that was hardly an optimized list.

Lychguard have to be taken correctly or not at all.
I'd say drop them and flesh out the rest of your army.

Perhaps even consider taking a CAD (as well as or instead of), so you can use all those painted Wraiths you're just itching to get on the table without having to worry about going against the no-multiples-of-the-same-formation restriction? (plus, you don't have to worry about the Spyder and Scarab tax).
