I wrote up a KoW scenario - so that my good lady can use some Bones Pathfinder goblin Pyros that she pilfered from me -

A simple scenario - five buildings, three in no man's land, two in the enemy deployment zone.

*EDIT* Reworded - Defender places five buildings, no more than two of which can be in his deployment zone, and none can be closer than twelve inches from any other.

Four ignited buildings for a win, two or three for a draw, fewer than two, a loss.

Goblin Troops can exchange their shields for torches, losing 1 Defense, and gaining 1 Attacks.

Only units with torches and wizardy types with Fireball can ignite a building.

The reason I bought rules and became a real wargamer was because I wanted a properly thought out structure to govern the action instead of just making things up as I went along.

Not exactly homebrew, but I colour-scanned & printed the scenarios from WHFB 8 rulebook, and they work well enough for KoW with minimal modification. When I get around to it, I'll scour other WHFB rulebooks and scenario packs as well.

Another source could be One Hour Wargames. You'd just have to divide your forces in relatively equal parts (usually into sixths) and change the timing of the scenario from 15 turns down to 7 with an optional 8th.

There is not this idea.

That's a good idea. There's quite a few scenarios in there, too.
