I know I have seen a diagram of this, but could not find the specific one on Google. All I found was the diagram that starts with a WG as the first model and the Archon in the back. This allows 4 of the 5 flamer to hit, but the outside models cannot overlap their flamers due to the front WG in the way. So hitting a single model with 4 flamers only works if the models is on a large oval base.

However, I think if you start with the Archon, then place the WG it works out to greater flexibility with the flamers, not only being able to use 4 of the 5 flamers, but also allowing all 4 for hit the same model. I think you can only place four 40mm bases around a single 25mm base, meaning the 5th base starts a new circle and can be placed where you want it.

Does anyone know where I can find this diagram?

I think the best method would just throw 4 wraithguards with an archon and possibly another IC in a raider. Then would be able to maneuvre the models anyway you want, without be limited by concentric circles around central model.

Minimum squad size for WG is 5, otherwise I (and every other Eldar/DE player) would definitely do that. It works with a Wave Serpent, since they have capacity 12, but sometimes there just aren't enough points.

Nah, you throw the Archon in the front with a Shadow field. Majority T6 with 2++. Tank things until he dies; the Wraithguard don't even need him afterwards.

Which, In my experience is after the 1st or 2nd shot. BAM! Str 6 insta-killed Archon

Agreed, but putting him up front means less templates, which might mean not killing what I dropped for, then everything moves away. 305 pts wasted

What you ideally want to do is take 5 wraithguard and an Archon. Load them into a waveserpent, and disembark upon landing to spread out to fire all flamers.

Except Wraithguard a 5 man minimum, and raiders can only hold 5 models. Wave Serpent works though.

If deep striking with a WWP, the Archon has to be placed first. The rules for the portal mention this. Unless the Wraithguard have a spiritseer, they cannot run, so the archon cannot run, as he's stuck in the middle and you cannot move through a model.

8,000 pts and counting
1,000 points, now painting.
