I have been meaning to make myself a Scots force from the wars of independence for years and I have started sourcing manufacturers (again...)

The 'Braveheart' Scots are a complete fantasy, they used the same equipment as every one else in the time period did (although often with less armour and longer spears). Basically I am looking for pikemen in padded armour with leather helms/kettle hats/bascinets.

Claymore castings make some but with quite limited poses and they are relatively expensive, the same is true of Ebob. The Perry European mercs box would work as well although I would only be able to use about half of the box.

Anyone else?

Black Tree is hit and miss. Fireforge produces early-mid medieval foot sergeants in padded armor. I have their Templar Foot, and they are a relatively nice models.

I think I may combine Fireforge Foot Sergeants (with alternate shields and pikes) and Perry Mercs. Any idea if they look ok next to each other?

Fireforge is chunkier, but their infantry looks okay next to the Perry milites christi I have. Mixing foot may not match as well, but otherwise they work.
