Would it be worth it, say I can swing by a copy of the mist hunter by saturday morning, to have adaptability on Poe to bring him only to PS9 and save an extra point for initiative?

I'd be inclined to say "Yes", because you are also making his PS equal to Asty. You lose out vs. PS10, and vs PS 9 you either win or lose (win if you choose initiative, since you choose which order your guys activate, lose if your opponent bids more). You are gaining an advantage vs anyone without a PS 9-10 Ace by equalizing your PS's.

Welp. Might have to spend a few bucks on Thursday morning. I'll have to see if the wife will let me start an hour later.

My 11 year old daughter had to face the triple-70 list recently.
She flew Guri and 4 Pirates+Cluster Missles.
She tabled the guy in 30 minutes.
YMMV.

There is no substitute for good piloting.

Out of curiosity, what was on Guri?

I'll take that as an overwhelming vote of confidence in my abilities.

I have run this list of triple 70s and have had some fun with it. I know, some people will go, "Poe without auto thrusters!" but, these are not the cheapest of ships.

Poe: Predator, R5-P9, Integrated Astromech
Blue Ace: R2-D6, Predator, Weapons Guidance, Integrated Astromech
Red Squadron Veteran: Push the Limit, R2 astromech, Integrated Astromech.

I prefer to push Poe into close range one with my opponent. I would rather have predator than VI/Autothrusters. Just my opinion.

Ive ran your list WITH autothrusters and im afraid, its not very good. A bad roll and you are seriously cripled, especially with all those TLTs about.

That's why I'm waffling between a Triple T-70 list, my classic Jake-Poe-Kyle or a Stress Control list of generics. I have about 5 games lined up between now and saturday, so I have to make up my mind by then.

I run a 3 x wing list that is similar.

poe, ptl, r5-p9, weapons guidance, integrated astro

Ello, PTl, r2, integrated

Hobbie, Targeting Astro, integrated.

I also ran a 125pt list that added Tarn, r7 and integrated

I had a game with it tonight. My opponent made an unforced error that left Soontir stressed, as a result I was able to one shot him. I was then able to disengage, regen and come back for the kills. I struggle mostly against swarm lists, or at least 5 or more ships.

Then we played another game with his same list and my version of panic attack. Soontir cannot afford to be in arc of a stresshog, ever.

So I did have initiative, but it didn't matter much. By the time my dice started showing up to the party, I had three losses. My opponents were literally sorry for me. A typical roll of 4 dice with a target lock was 1 hit. I maneuvered really well so I was able to regen and dodge arcs quite often but after a while damage just kept piling up. I only faced a single TLT y-wing, but there where a few triple Ks and 4 Ys. The big star of the tournament was the Jumpmaster. Everyone wanted to play with it. A triple contracted scout was in the upper tier, but not the top 4.
