Thinking of picking up Betrayal at Calth to play 30k and wondering how this looks as a starter list using just Betrayal at Calth.

Son's of Horus is my legion of choice because as far as I've got in HH they've been my favourite however this list could probably be used with any legion without too much adjustment.

I like that you didn't rush right to the "usual" pride of the legion spam, and this works as a great base for expanding out into, like you said, nearly any army. the only things I would change is don't give the terminators power swords, it looks cool, but I'm not sure how it will play, though if you like the idea, go for it!

I figured with a legion like SoH you might want quantity of quality to get the extra I1 attack, and with CCWs Tac marines aren't much different to veterans I don't think.

I dropped the Cataphractii Primus in exchange for 3 power fists on the terminators. Is that better?

Can normal tac sarges take both a combi weapon AND a fist? I thought they could only choose a single item and the vet sarges can take a pair?

Battlescribe seems to think so, I haven't forked out on the rule book yet.

and it's the same on the mobile version also, not trying to prove you wrong or anything I just got excited at the prospect of getting a fist and plasma pistol on my sarges for my own preference.

Just did a 100% fresh install on the phone version yesterday and I still can't? is there another repository going apart from the github hosted one?

On the app mine lets me swap his bolter for something and his chainsword/combat blade for something.

Maybe you have to buy CCWs for the squad first?

It allows a single swap for the bolter/bp and cc wep. However - if you pay for the entire squad to have the extra CC weapon THEN it allows the two swaps. (eg one for bolter and one for the extra CC wep).

What a bloody nightmare

EDIT - and back to topic I'd second dropping the power swords from the termies and if you reckon you'll get them across the board into combat then stick a chainfist on one if points permit.
