This has been one of the worst weeks of my life and it's my birthday tomorrow, so I decided to get some more modeling stuff done. Annoyingly Dakka dakka's gallery has messed with my photos colours, so please excuse that.

First we have some attack dogs from the Kings of War Dwarf boxset. They look a little goofy but they will work. They still need puttying

Wizard Apprentice for a Necromancer. It's a Reaper Bones Gravedigger. He went on one of the bases I made before perfectly.

Now for something a little weird. I was looking through my bitsbox for something to use as a small construct and I found this cool little guy. He's a Seedot from Pokemon. H thought he looked like a little mail carrier robot, where he would be sent off to give messages to people. I cut his stem off and started to fill in the facial details. I'm not sure if I want to give him some sort of Q bert style snout or if I want to give him some kind of mail box attachment or slot. I like the concept a lot and look forward to figuring him out.

Here's a little bit of terrain. The pillar bases are going to have angels on them and are part of a cake pillar set where I sawed the pillar off each end then filled the hole in the middle with putty.

The barrels are Renedra or whatever they're called, I want to add them to the destroyed inn and will make a wall of barrels for terrain later.

Feedback would be appreciated.

Nice work on Malifaux and Frostgrave is great. Working on a Bestiary?

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

Yep. I've heard it can be played solo, so I want all the first row of encounters available and then I'll do some battle reports and see how it goes.

Very cool! love the malifaux - and omg you put the steam trunk together wow heard that's not a lot of fun. It looks great too! Love the gremlins wish mine looked as nice lol

Frostgrave stuff is great, really like the necro theme you've started, the grave digger looks perfect!

The steam trunk is a nightmare to put together. None of it really fits properly and when you get one side looking right it's pushed out something on the other side.

Thank you. I haven't decided quite what I'm going to have in the group yet, wanting to make 2 of each type if possible.

Some progress today since.. well what else am I going to do with my life?

First Cultist made up as a simple soldier. The shield comes from the Wargames factory's skeleton sprue and fit the rest of the model really well. None of the other shields had quite the look I was after.

Next up is an Imp.. wait what? I was planning to use a Malifaux nepilihm for the model but I got a second Somer boxset for my birthday (And I know none of you got me a card! Thanks jerks!) so used one of the Skeeters legs and a horned skull from the skeleton boxset to make... this. I was reading the Imp description and it's a really low level demon, like a lost soul from Doom, which I had intended to copy, but this is close enough while not requiring too much messing around. I like it, it's simple but cool.

Need a boar, got some old GW ones, have to cut a lot of gak off of it and will need to sculpt some fur onto it later. My biggest problem is that it's way too front heavy. I may need to drill it's ass out and fill it with something heavy to balance it. It also doesn't fit the small base and I'm unsure if I want to put it on a larger one I ordered since they're not listed as large creatures.

Woof woof

Wargames factory skeletons, I used these for a painting test before and why not reuse them? Frostgrave lists basic skeletons as unarmed, so they're unarmed. Lame B movie poses work great for this. Shame as I would of liked to paint some weapons on these guys but I'm not sure I want to use these as armoured skeletons over Mantic ones as I need them to look different from above if I'm doing battle reports.

My favourite new thing for today. 2 terrain pieces to add some flavour to the city. Cake pedestals plus reaper bone's angels and here we are. Look fantastic and I look forward to painting them up. Not sure if I want to go with a marble look or just simple grey stone with green and brown weathering.

Feedback would be welcome. Only just starting off here and it's a lonely old blog when you're not doing 40k.

Oh nice, that cultist looks really sinister!

like the imp as well, simple but novel.

love the statue idea - I've seen a few now, really like the idea. I'd probably veer towards a grey stone with the weathering, but that's because I intend to add snow to all my terrain stuff for Frostgrave and I think it would look better that way, more contrast anyway.

can't wait to see it all painted up

Those are only terrain pieces when you're looking at them!

Like those skellies, and the Cultist looks great!

They do have actual weeping angle models in the line, not my sort of thing. I wanted something much grander and impressive.
