To make it simple. I'm a newbie to this edition and just hd my first game. I just want to be clear about the following.
Say my primary Detachment is Chaos Daemons
And I take a formation from the Daemonkin book, They are battlebrothers .
Could I still target the Daemonkins with psychic powers from my Chaos Daemons ( Fateweaver ).
And also, is this legal in most tournaments? To have my primary Detachment Chaos Daemons And to have a Formation of Daemonkin?

formations are just another kind of detachment. And the battle brother rules are pretty clear

-Me: Don't tell the commissar but i left my Imperial Infantrymans Uplifting Primer at home, but I do carry a folded Texas flag behind my front plate.
-Friend: Texas flag gives you AV14 all around.
