So i've started testing a few different tartan effects, and thankfully my brush control is getting smoother, however I cannot decided on a general pattern that I like.
Below is two designs I have attempted that I would like some feedback on.

At the moment it's the patterns themselves I require help with rather than my painting ability as these are just a few test miniatures to get my hands used to holding brushes again

They are actually looking pretty good mate , I have not tried painting tartan myself but would say the chap on the left as we view it , with the red main colour is the best of the two

thankyou, just need to tighten my brush control a little more, and hopefully i can get much crisper lines.
I refrenced this video quiet a bit as i found the colouring really simple for a nice pattern

I love that effect, but I think at my current level its a little out of my reach, however I've book marked that for future use as it kicks my effect outa the park
