I was having a mind experiment, about what if they made a Gaunts Ghost's movie. Who would play who...what book...
I think personally Necropolis. And I think Benedict Cumberbatch would make a great Gaunt.
What's your opinion? Maybe a different book? Who would play rawn?

Please no. I do agree with Clint Eastwood, though. I'd always pictured Lisa Edelstein as Curth, since she already played a doctor and all.

I can't see Bruce Willis as Mkoll though. Even though Mkoll does show McClane levels of Determinator, he's much more about the clever most of the time. I offer instead Richard Dean Anderson.

I could actually see Eastwood as Mad Larkin. An old man who just won't quit, still almost as badass as he would have been as a twenty-something.

RDA as Mkoll would be kinda weird (Plus his age doesn't help, RDA's much closer to Zweil/Dorden)

I think Guns of Tanith would make an awesome movie.

to be honest I don't think Gaunt himself would translate into film too well, he seems to change character to suit the current story too much plus I find him a bit bland.

Given me eisenhorn or the ravenor books as a film!

Tall, rangy, with lots of physical and emotional mileage. You would have to put Benedict Cummerbatch in a tent in the middle of Kansas and let him weather for about 10 years.

Actually I think Paul Wight (The Big Show) would make a pretty good Bragg. He's practically a living TF2 Heavy Weapons Guy as it is.

You guys do realize that Tanith was Space-Ireland, right?

I always imagined it as more Space Wales, but yeah.

Space-Celtic fringe in general, I suppose (I can't think of many famous Manx, Cornish or Breton actors, though); they always seemed Scottish to me (what with the piper). That's why I filled the ranks with Scottish actors (except for Gaunt and Curth, since they're not from Tanith).
