Been a while Immolators are nowhere to be found and like 1/3 of the SOB models have been out of stock for quite a while now.
And catachans heavy weapons team is no longer available.
I'm probably jumping to conclusions way too quick but SOB stuff is disappearing slowly but steadily. Might be the same happening too catachans, but only time will tell.

the single Catachan Heavy Weapon squad is no longer available but the 3-pack, which is essentially three of them in one box, is still available. GW just wants to sell in bulk now.

Sisters stuff goes in and out like crazy anyway. Celestine was out of stock 2 weeks ago, came back just fine.
That said the day the immolator went off the store just so happened to be the day I started collecting space marines.

I won't...I can't...mourn the Catachans if they are indeed going the way of the Dodo. They should have died many years ago. That said, GW seems to be serious about keeping them around, maybe its a reboxing?
As for the SoB's...who knows at this point.

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.
New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts. |

I figure 1 of 2 things will happen with SOB, the more likely option is that they will let them continue to slowly trickle out until eventually they disappear quietly off the website altogether. Option 2, they put out a major release with the kits that have been rumored to be on ice for the better part of a year now completely out of nowhere with no forewarning at(here's the big part) the end of a quarter or the fiscal year. If it goes this way we won't see a damn thing about it until the week before they come out though.
It would be great to get one of those vague White Dwarf taglines for what'll be in the next weeks issue. It'd be something like 'In the next issue, a HUGE surprise' and everyone would be all like 'AWWWW YEAH NEW CSM CODEX' and it would be sisters and I would laugh all the way through the credit card application that would let me 'afford' the amount of stuff I would buy.

The only thing I dread about the Sister's release is that GW will try to price their plastic kits based on their old metal kit's price.
I'm calling it now, 50-55 Canadian (so probably 40-45 USD) for 5 sisters of battle given the Grey Knight treatment (assembled as anything short of seraphims).

hard to tell, Dark Eldar waited what a decade for reboot that no one expected. Depends entirely on whether they think it will sell.

It would depend on the sprues at that point honestly. If there were enough bits to make a 4 melta 1 comb-melta dominion squad and etc, it would still be cheaper than even most ebay stuff. if it was 'here's a flamer, a storm bolter and a SI' like the 80$ bundle that's out of stock right now i'd be a tad disappointed but I'd be SOOOOO blown away that it even saw a release I'd deal.

And tack on a minimum squad size of ten, just so you really know you're getting a Good Deal( tm)

I personally think most of the sisters of battle sculpts needed to be removed and redone anyway. Maybe forgeworld would be a better place for them?

Maybe, but it looks like Forgeworld also got the 'discontinue all the good stuff so we can argue nobody buys SoB' memo.

Not likely. They'll probably give you one heavy flamer, one normal flamer, one multi-melta and one normal melta. Then "suggest" you build the Dominion squad with one of each weapon.

Meh Victoria makes better Catachans anyway even if they are metal with FW prices. Great for a small detachment, not for a whole army.
|
If you dont short hand your list, Im not reading it.
Example: Assault Intercessors- x5 -Thunder hammer and plasma pistol on sgt.
or Assault Terminators 3xTH/SS, 2xLCs
For the love of God, GW, get rid of reroll mechanics. ALL OF THEM! |

The SoB range on the Webstore is super frustrating. They don't sell a complete set of Seraphim anymore (just 2 of the 4 sculpts) - so I had to buy a box from eBay instead.

I wonder how that worked out for the countless billions of imperial citizens that have been consumed by Tyranids?
On a serious note, it would be nice to see a fully functional Witch Hunter's/ SoB army again.

TBH a functional witch hunter/sob army would be amazing.
Witch hunters/SOB and inquisition have some of the best looking models imho.
But the lack of interest gw has with the sob model line makes me sad.

Well, to be honest, the book we have now is very functional, its just that the model range needed to use it is crippled.

I play Sisters of Battle. won a tournament last month with them. It's my number one Tournament winning army (numerically). So I've never felt about them the way others do.
I don't know about Catachans?
Games-Workshop seems to think being mysterious is fun so they slyly do stuff not to "upset" the gamers when they are planning a transition or whatever. I honestly have no idea what they plan for the Sisters of Battle but as far as playability: no problems there.
