If we're only in at the $90 level, will be have access in a post-KS PM to purchase Splinter, Mousers, Bebop, etc?

I don't think they will have them as add ons in the pledge manager, since they ar sticking to the no add ons. I do recall seeing they would allow you to upgrade your pledge to the level that gets them though.

No, the pledge manager will be used for adding extra copys of the game post KS. If you want Splinter without pledging the works eBay or waiting for the retail hero pack is the other option.

From the faq,

"There will be a brief period for you to upgrade or add copies to your pledge through our pledge manager."

Variant issue 1 unlocked for all pledge levels.

Bebop, extra lithograph by Eastman, and hero cards for the original turtles unlocked for the works backers.

Well on our way to unlocking Rocksteady at 600k, and an additional rooftop mission at 625k.

Get it while it's hot!

Can't help but feel that if they're doing the original turtles in the original Eastman & Laird style, traditional, physical sculpting might have fitted better. And for the IDW versions too, TBH. Looks like they Zbrushed the soul right out of them.

My will is breaking on getting in on this one.

Absolutely awesome if they can pull it off.

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money.

Oh, well, then I don't agree. I thought her arms just looked a bit wonky.

It's not a completely unfair assessment though. While her face and neck look normal-to-thin, her lower midsection looks oddly inflated comparable to the rest of the figure.

I so want there to be an option to just get some of the mini's. On a budget based hiatus and whilst there's a lot of stuff in the high value pledges I just can't justify it.

It looks like a decent number of figs for interested backers but I think I like the previewed Heroclix TMNT stuff more and will wait for that instead. It would be a gaks and giggle lark purchase for me that will just sit on the painting desk so no point in spending more than necessary.

We're all done, the KS ended with $862,211. With a goal of a quarter of a million I'd call this campaign a huge success! So all there is to do now is wait for the deadline of July. TURTLE POWER!

People still believe these funding goals???

Well, I guess IDW's goals are more believable than most companies (hi Mantic!).

Anyway, congrats on the project. Here's a pic of the V-Wars "mini's" so safe to say IDW Games has some plastics experience: https://twitter.com/idwgames/status/648944956980117504

Couldn't be me. I don't post anything there.

Any chance they'll do after KS backer options like some groups do? Not a pledge manager, but being able to get in after the KS closes but before they start production?

For those that missed out on paying for the Eastman/Laird version of the boys; Heroclix is doing a set soon. I will be repainting these rather than spending too much for a game I don't want just to get 4 minis.

Hmm, Donny has an orange mask in that photo...

I've generally been very unhappy with the quality of Heroclix miniatures, the exceptions being some of the Haloclix line (which were at least sharp enough to be worth repainting). When some of the new X-Men came out I was impressed and looking to pick up some figures, until I realised the images I'd been seeing were renders and the actual models (in the rare instance I could find a real photo rather than render) were AMAZINGLY lower in quality. I guess the Turtles themselves at least don't need to be too detailed, so quality probably won't be a huge issue, but even so, have you seen any actual photos of the figs?

I hate to break it to you all that are counting on the Heroclix models. Check out the date on that article...

http://www.heroclixworld.com/hcw/Articles.aspx?ID=682A&P=2

These are the actual ones, which are definitely the new-school style turtles and of the typical Heroclix quality.

Google the Mouser Mayhem clix set that's going to be a starter. It looks like ALL the old stuff. Plus those starter clix sets that tend to also be standalone boardgames typically have very nice details compared to the blind boxes.. which often look like they were QC'd by a blind person :/

Yes, but to this kid from the 80's/90's they look correct as compared to the stuff offered in this KS which aren't my childhood Ninja Turtles.

This is VERY true BUT.. like I said, that's from the pre-boxed set. If you look at the ones they did for Batman and I want to say Spider-Man, the ones from the starter/board games are extremely close to the 3d renders vs the blind booster figs which look like soft melted crap.

You can also just wait for retail and see for yourself.

I'm just happy that many of the figures have no pupils. Not interested in Teenage Mutant Crosseyed Ninja Turtles!
