This is the latest release from S-Model - a 1/72 British Matilda Mk II CS infantry tank. The box contains kits to build two close-support Matilda tanks with a 6-pdr (76 mm/3 in) howitzer. Also photo etched parts and decal are included. Seven options of markings are for British troops, Royal Australian Armoured Corps, ANZAC troops and Russian troops.

The parts have rich and crisp details. Overall fit is excellent. The only thing needs some note is the building sequence of parts A18, A19, A20 and A21.

Please see the pictures for the suggested sequence.

Highly recommended for scale modellers as well as war game players.

This Matilda tank kit, along with many other S-Model 1/72 kits, is available in our eBay store http://stores.ebay.com/miniworldshop

A lot of the S-Model sets include the photo-etch parts in the kit.

Cute tank!

Oops. Forgot to add the photo of the Matilda kit's PE parts and decal. Now added into the first post.

Strange that they would include PE parts (without a styrene option), the general engineering seems to tend towards a sturdy and quick build which PE parts would be the antithesis of.

Agreed. But then I hate PE parts with a passion - unless it's something like a screen or vent. I suppose the PE parts aren't very important and can easily be omitted from a model intended for wargaming.

Great looking kit though. And, unlike some of their earlier British vehicles, it seems to have all the rivets.
