Hello, i m thinking a lot if be'lakor is worth in a 1500 pts list, i mean usually in that list you run screamers more durable than anything else and you have no space for things like seekers or hounds, Be'lakor is less durable than a DP, most of time.
So play it or not? play a full optional DP and dont bother a lot about telepathy or run another GD more durable? thanks

Kairos is a better choice in 1500 I think. Be'lakor needs buffs to make him work and keep him alive. I usually take Slaaneshi heralds and kairos and roll telepathy on them.

It depends. He is expensive, but if you have the right unit he is solid gold.

Btw, you should be jinking every turn, he has shrouded so it makes him hard to kill. It's not like he's carrying a gun.

The only way to counter Be'lakor as space marine is a divination psyker (like Tigirius) supporting a full squad of sternguards.

He does have a witchfire or 2, which will mean snapfiring. However I do agree, he should Jink every turn.

I prefer Belakor over Fateweaver everytime, all the time. I need more CC and Fatey just doesn't fit the bill. That being said, I see why players like Fatey in bigger games. He makes some of the randomness of Daemons a bit easier to swallow.

If you have an MSU list, go Fateweaver. If you have a few big units (or just 1 really beefy unit) Belakor may be better for you.

Agreed on all counts here. I use a big flesh hound unit with a herald, so guaranteed invisibility from Be'lakor is fantastic. Any remaining dice usually go into a shrouding bubble for jinking screamers too. Use him every time I play 1500 and have never regretted it.

That said, when I play 1850 I do like to bring Fateweaver along to the party too. Now that he has access to a S psychic power, he'll probably never leave.

Have a look at my current army list in the army list forum, been experimenting with be'lakor, very powerful. Kairos is near obsolete in new tactica due to the new formation

I would argue Be'lakor is far more powerful than daemon prince due to 100% chance to roll invis AND when he lands... fleshbane and armourbane? And mastercrafted! Jesus christ if used right he can take out armies

Why is he near obsolete? Even more psychic powers to choose from, plus the best warlord trait (although the new ones do look very cool indeed). If anything I think he's more useful. Reroll warpstorm, followed by +/-1 gives you almost total control.

Have you seen the new formation? It allows you to re-roll on the warpstorm table AND add or subtract 1, meaning if you roll a 7 you can choose 7,8, or 9. And 100% chance invis is much better I think anyway. Unfortunatly his warlord trait is obsolete

Umm that's not what it says... Reroll instability, +/-1 on the warpstorm, plus the objective tomfoolery.

Oops, my mistake. I guess Kairos is still pretty great my apologies, Be'lakor is not only powerful psycher but when flying he has a +2 coversave with shrouded and jinking so he can survive alot of punishment! When he is on the ground he can give himself invis, and hits hard

maybe could be change LOC for D thirster but i lost 3 WC and need find about 20 more points.

Maybe not a thirster, do you have enough points to run another DP? 2 DP's with max level psych can deal some damage and Kairos can use the warp charges

i have point to run a lord of change same level as prince hard to find 355 pts

He isnt bad, just not as good as a prince

and if i use another DP i have only 2 rolls on demonology, or i must use at least 1 prince to roll on it and for me that is a waste
