I would love to help but I can't/don't want to try and make sense of this list. You really need to format it so its easier to read. Have you copied and pasted it straight from Battlescribe or something?

What other models do you have, if any, to work with?

In my experience it's always been worth the 5pt upgrade for sub-shot on the hammerhead. I'd drop the blacksun filter on the broadside for it.

Blacksun filter is a standard broadside wargear. Can't drop it.

Ah my bad, maybe drop the honour blade, from my experience thats also useless. :p

Drop all the sha'ui, they're expensive and not really worth it. Use the points to change the Ethereal for a commander and you have a hunter cadre.

Make the broadside a regular shas'ui without drones. Drones will only make him take leadership checks.

Give the Kroot Sniper Rounds. wounding on 4's, rending and precision shots are worth it.

Combine the Strikers into one squad to make them more durable.

If you have or can find the points after these changes get a cheap drone squad as a drone network to make it into a hunter contingent.

Use one of the crisis suits as a commander and have a 2 man crisis team then. Seriously, the Hunter Contingent is worth it.

If I drop the Drone Network, I can get 3 Crisis Suits (I'll just find something cheap on ebay for the commander), and a Commander w/ 2 gun drones, Missle Pod, 2 Plasma Rifles, Target Lock and an Iridium Battlesuit

or drop the missile pod, gun drones and target lock from the commander and take a drone network and get all the perks of a Hunter Contingent as opposed to a mere Hunter Cadre.

You really don't need 3 weapons on a suit of any kind. Its usually best to go with 2 of the same weapons, plasma or fusion is my preference.

Don't use a suit to proxy a commander unless you have 60mm (Dreadnaught) base to put on it. Otherwise you are breaking the BRBs rules on base size.

However, I largely agree with Taffy's comment on not putting 3 weapons on a suit. use two of the same (Plasma or Fusion are most useful). A Flamer CAN be added for wall of death overwatch hits if you have points (I think its wall of death).

I do also agree with Taffy on the Hunter Contingent being killer. I would drop the kroot for more FW personally. The are very similar offensively if you do the math.

But if you want Kroot, definitely drop the Krootox and add sniper rounds. I know some people use hounds for acute senses, but you only need one and I would only take one for that.

Missile drones are a HUGE ripoff imo, you need a drone controller for sure to get anything out of them. But they are basically wounds to add to the Broadside.

I would drop the Honor blade and the hover drone (and maybe regular drones too) the Ethereal should seek shelter in your gunline, so he really doesnt need to move over terrain.

Remember Ethereals are an extra victory point so you gonna be careful with 'em.

As to other things to get, Riptides are always fun, but OP for 1000pt imo so people will hate you lol. I would take not kroot (unless you just love em) and get more strike Fire Warriors, then you get more 15" triple tap with the ethereal. Maybe a few more pathfinders? I <3 Markerlights. I would drop the Hammer head for something else too, they are just 1 shot per turn atm and they aren't even that great at that sometimes lol. (Jink kills their usefulness) The point could go into something more deadly.

Alright, so dropping the missilepod, drones and target lock leaves me with

Commander w/2 plasma guns and Iridium armor

3 Crisis suits w/2 plasma rilfes, missle pods (Which can be dropped if theres anything worthwhile for 45 points)

10 FW w/Turret

10 Kroot/w Pulse rifle Shaper, Krootox, Kroot Hounds and Sniper Rounds

10 Kroot/w Pulse rifle Shaper, Krootox, Kroot Hounds and Sniper Rounds

5 Pathfinders w/Pulse Carbine

Broadside w/ Twin-linked Heavy Rail Rifle; Twin-linked Plasma Rifle

Hammerhead Gunship w/ Railgun with Solid Shot; Submuniton Rounds, Twin-linked Smart Missile System

Drone Network w/3 gun drones and a marker

Don't worry about the commander base. they've been on 40mm crisis bases for years up until a couple months ago.

As for 45pts i'd spend it on Longstrike, which in a hunter contingent would mean he can share his tank hunter, or just having more Strikers or Pathfinders.

For the Drone network i'd just have 4 gun drones. MLs aren't so important in a hunter contingent cause of the BS4 combined fire.
