Basically the title gets it across, would people recommend putting sergeant Chronus in? Also can he take forgeworld tanks?

Well you'd have to ask yourself why you'd want him in a Stalker in the first place.

Why would anyone waste him in a Rhino, Razorback, Hunter or Stalker? He's also seriously questionable in anything with lots of blast, template, or twin-linked weapons, which is pretty much everything else. His inability to join squadrons and take advantage of their new special rules is also bad.

Previously in sixth edition he was able to take any FW vehicle with the Tank subtype, but the current codex provides a specific list of vehicles, so absent a FAQ from FW you can't put him in a Sicarian, which would be hands-down the best (and really only) choice.

He gets the most milage out of non TL’d guns. He should do OK in the AA tanks, or something like an auto/las pred.

If he’s in the stalker, you can shoot at a pair of targets at his BS5, as you don’t really need the TLing. Of course, it’s a waste if he needs to snap-shot.

For AA in that budget I'd recommend a Stormtalon with a Skyhammer launcher instead. It's a little more flimsy on paper, but as a flyer it's much more mobile, harder to hit, can Jink, and has slightly better range. Plus it can effectively engage ground targets if there are no flyers around to shoot at.

The Spear of Macragge deserves nothing less than a Land Raider.

But really, an autocannon/lascannons predator will do as well.

I need a hq too so the stormtalon isn't an option so it comes down to the auto/las predator or the stalker. The stalker has the advantage of giving me AA

You can take him in one of the formations

When he was a upgrade to a tank, you probably could do it.

But now he’s a separate HQ pick. He takes a single tank as a sort-of upgrade. You can’t just take vehicles from two separate unit entries and make a squadron out of them.

I think. It’s a section of the rules I don’t reference often.

He's interesting as a warlord since he's probably the only named character in not to have fixed trait so you get to roll for one.

I’ve used him as a warlord. Only once, but it worked out fine. I like that he’s his own answer for “where do I put my HQ” Don’t need to worry about finding space in a rhino, pod or razor, and working out a bodyguard.

He’s good for small games with a CAD. You don’t need to invest a lot of points in gearing him up, and makes for nice little themed mechanized lists.

I've also never seen him on the table and it's always good crack playing with/against new characters

Ran him in a predator today and it was great!!
