The other 3 are way out of date. The new book is the one you want.

However, if you want to read a decent story, the old books are fine

Currently, there are two different books for R&H:

Imperial Armour Vol.13: War Machines of the Lost and the Damned
https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-US/Imperial-Armour-Volume-Thirteen-War-Machines-of-the-Lost-and-the-Damned
- From 6th edition, so no detachments
- Renegades can be dedicated to all four gods
- Rest of the book is additional stuff for CSM and daemons

Imperial Armour: The Siege of Vraks
https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-US/Imperial-Armour-The-Siege-of-Vraks
- No Tzeentch and Slaanesh (for story reasons)
- 2 detachments: one for large hordes and one for Nurgle renegades (the latter can also be used by CSM)
- Rest of the book is a Death Korps army list and special characters for various codices

If you still want to go for one of the old books, each part of the trilogy had a slightly different version of the Renegades list: Imperial Armour 5 was Chaos Undivided, IA 6 was Khorne, IA 7 was Nurgle.

It's a good idea to have both books, but IA:SoV is probably a somewhat stronger list,a ll things considered. The Purge and Unending Host detatchments really push it up to a more competitive level.

Very much this.

Keep in mind though that the Vrak's list has.. Restrictions which are due to story. Renegades don't have valks (I think there's something else they also don't have) and miss out on some extremely powerful combos. Primarily being able to put Mark of Tzeentch on things, which is especially devastating on heavy weapon squads with auto cannons.

So both lists are very strong and do share many a unit, but I'd try and get a grasp of what exactly you want to do list / model wise before investing. Just to save yourself some potential pain down the road.
