Just after some clarification, the Waaagh Ghazghkull "Da Boss iz Watching" rule adds +2 to the mob rule table as well as D3+3 hits instead of D6 hits if a result of squabble or breaking heads.

The mob rule says results of 1, 2-4 and 5-6 do things, what if i roll a 7/8 with the +2 modifier, is that a pass or fail on the morale check? I am assuming pass but not sure on this.

You take the 4-6 result. Beat yourselves up cuz Ork stuff!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Also the chart goes 1, (born to fight) 2-3 (breaking eads), 4-6 (squabble)

The +2 modifier on the Mob Rule chart just makes it impossible to get a 1-2 result.

If that was the case, wouldn't it say 5+ (I am not saying you are wrong, just that the rule could be better written).

Hopefully the new release of waaagh Ghazghkull has reworded the rule.

Yes, I was wondering about that as well. The Mob Rule table does not say 4+. The Mob Rule table specifically outlines that a results of 1 is "Born to Fight", 2-3 is "Breaking Heads", and 4-6 is "Squabble". If "Da boss is Watchin’" is +2 to the result, then the lowest you can roll is 3 ("Breaking Heads"), and the highest you can roll is 8.

But if you do roll 7-8, good luck interpreting that result. Does a 7-8 mean you pass, or more likely auto-fail? The other results at least give you a chance to pass the morale check. If you are going strictly by the table RAW, a 7-8 means you don't get a second chance to pass your morale check. You're better off interpreting a 7-8 as Squabble.

It's just sloppy rules writing. I also hope that W!G v2.0 clarifies this issue.

for now, I'd thinking if you roll a 7/8 your should just take the count it as being a 6. It would be better if in the codex it says 6+ on the table.

Armies:
The Iron Waagh: 10,000+ 8th Edition Tournament Record: 4-7-1
Salamanders: 5,000 8th Edition Tournament Record: 4-2
Ultramarines: 4,000
Armored Battle Company (DKoK): 4000
Elysians: 500
Khorne Daemons: 2500

makes sense for 7-8 to be Squabble...it just makes squabble the most likely result...sigh.

"Sir, the enemy has us encircled!"

"Most excellent. They can't escape us now!"

RAW - you get a 7-8 and fail mob rule cause there's no result for 7-8. RAI - you take a 4-6 result.

It's bad either way.
