Was thinking of kit bashing some and was wondering if they're worth the effort?

On moon miranda.

A bajillion attacks with shred, ld10, and absurd durability on a decurion? They're incredibly capable for what they cost.

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.

New Heavy Gear Log! Also...Grey Knights!
The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

Well, I field a Necron army and have all models/units up to Flayed Ones. They are too expensive for my liking. But its a decent cc unit having a delivery mechanism to reach the enemy front ranks early in the game. I'd field a unit of 10 to 20 Flayed Ones in a Decurion formation.

Not money-wise, as the current models are junk.

If you acquire a bunch of the old ones for a great price though, they're pretty excellent.

Extremely easy to convert. Base Necron Warrios, use plasticard to model a few sharp, long claws, use Green Stuff to model the skin on and paint. Use lots of wash.

We had slightly over 50 of them converted and they look great.

They're worth taking now since even with the low initiative, they got a hilarious amount of attacks.

Just take some plasticard or anything resembling sharp claws, grab some warriors and replace their hands with said claws. Then maybe drape some GS skin pieces over them or paint them with blood and ta-da, cheap and DECENT LOOKING Flayed ones.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.
