Just picked up Rebel Aces, wanted to try out Jake Farrel, and centered a squad around dodging everything and hitting back hard(Tycho has rage which isnt out yet, I know.)

Tycho-Title, AT, PTL, Rage, Proton Rockets

Jake Farrell-Title, AT, VI, Outmaneuver, chardaan

Ello Asty-R2D2, AT, VI

So, 2 9s and an 8, all very dodgy, not much in the way of modification, except for tycho, but hopefully I'll be able to out-damage/boost to range 1 of tlt ships, and just plain dodge the hell outta other arc-dodgers.

Let us know how it goes. I generally am able to keep A-wings in range 1, where they get decent reds, but otherwise the two dice attacks after you popped your prockets is a bit lackluster.

How many points is that? (I know I could calculate it myself, but if you want comments, it would behoove you to help us out a bit)

Wouldn't you rather keep the option of being able to T-roll with Ello even when you need shields, with R5-P9, for instance?

Jake also needs PTL instead of Outmaneuver. However, this leaves him very pillow-fisted. Your list is also very vulnerable to PS 10, so VI on tycho could be useful.

Q: What do you call a Dinosaur Handpuppet?

A: A Maniraptor

The problem is that his list lacks firepower outside of the Prockets.

Ya I agree it lacks some punch. It's 100 points as per usual haha. I dont have R5P9 since I refuse to buy epic ships I'm never going to use. I could proxy though, it would free up a point I suppose. And you're right about PTL on Jake ugh. I havent seen a PS10 ship at the local game club ever I dont think so Im not too concerned about it.

Huge ships are great fun and usually more casual than regular games. They can be used in very competitive epic games though. The Rebel Transport, Imperial Raider and Assault Carrier all come with repaints of classic small ships with new and interesting pilots.

The Rebel Transport also comes with fun scenarios. Including one where you need three Rebel Transports. Yes, for realz.
