We'll find out soon enough eh.

Anyone know if such a thing exists, either from GW or from a third party? I'm making a character armed with a pair of BPs out of the DE Sorceress and all the ones I have in my bitz box look utterly comical they're so large - you can just about get away with the pistol sizes on male heroic scale models, not not a female elf.

My first thought would be the very old RTB01 bolt pistol arms. Hard to come by, but probably a better scale.
Are there any in the guard range? Those might be big, but not marine big.

The only ones I know of in plastic are the Prefectus Commissar, the Scions, and the tank commander one, and they're all pretty much the same size as Marine ones from the look of them. It's possible the one on the finecast Lord Commissar is a bit smaller, but I'm not paying £20 for a couple of guns.

These might work for you. They're not as bulky as the standard bolt pistols:

There are small bolters on the Dark Angels Company Veterans Squad Sprue. If you look on the box art you will see it in the left hand of the guy with the power sword in his right.
I'm sure you can find them on E-Bay somewhere.

The old 2nd Ed. Ork bolt pistols were very small. Not imperial of course but small enough to suit a female

If you want a selection of different small pistols Zinge industries has some as well

Pic of one in an Ork hand for scale
The heavy pistol might work as a bolt pistol replacement

The plastic commissar has a small bolt pistol.
The bolt pistols from the forgeworld character upgrade pack are also pretty thing (but are otherwise normal sized). The great thing about this bits pack is it includes a set of space marine legs. Always can do with more space marine legs! Automatically Appended Next Post: Conversion wise, you could try taking out the middle of the pistol, reduce the size of the magazine and use some plastic rod for a new barrel?

Thanks for the suggestions guys, but I'm working from a specific bit of artwork so I really need them to look like actual bolt pistols. They're a bit too ornate but it looks like the plastic Commissar(I went in and actually held the model today) is the best option, now I just have to find the pistol for sale somewhere.
And thanks Icurus, the Exo-Lord pistols are no good but if you hadn't linked them I'd never have noticed Anvil have finally released Terminator-scale bionic legs

Im not entirely sure but its possible FW ones could be smaller. (as they tend to be scaled a bit different)
But other wise you might be stuck carving a regular bolt pistol down and recasting or doing multiple.
