Yep. Had to go back and read it. Just assumed it was 40 capacity and 10-per Dread.... but they capped it at 2. Womp womp.

I personally think it would be a great vehicle. Damn hard to kill, and redonkulous amounts of fire power. Would be a great centerpiece in an apoc game.

However i could see this as a Genuine Strategy and would work extremely well with DA

Mastodon Rolls up the Board tanking hits
Jetbikes then disperse EVERYWHERE and shoot everything with the DA heavy bolter Acid Rounds
Jetbikes then return to the Mastodon if they take too many casualties

Now that i think about it, this strategy should be named 'NO! NOT THE BEES!'

Hardly an insult. Lots of shoes can be cool and/or attractive, just look at Doc Marten's or Converse. I happen to like the big hulking brute. It grew on me the more I saw it.

Plus Primarch... see the post that I quoted. You can't have more then 25% of your army be a LoW. Even the Mastadon alone would require a 2800pt game, which is not "most" games.

Each individual LoW is bound by that, not all of them totalled together. So an Onslaught detachment could be 50% lords of war by cost.

BUT the onslaught CAD has problems of it's own for this idea (namely the manditory heavy support slot) this setup is already stupid expensive for the mastadon + primarch (~1100 minimum)

I believe that ROW removes the lord of war slot altogether though.
