Here's a go at a Gladius list:
Gladius Strike Force:
Battle Demi Company:
-Cato Sicarius, 175pts
-Ironclad, stock, 135pts
-Dev squad, 3x lascannons, 130pts
-Tac Squad 1: 9x marines, sergeant with bolter, 140pts
-Tac Squad 2: 9x marines, sergeant with bolter, 140pts
-Tac Squad 3: 9x marines, sergeant with bolter, 140pts
-Attack bike w/ HB, 40pts

Armored Task Force:
-Techmarine, stock, 65pts
-Vindicator squadron, 3x vindicators, 360pts
-Predator Annihilator, 140pts
-Predator Annihilator, 140pts

Librarius Conclave:
- ML2 Librarian, 90pts
- ML2 Librarian, 90pts
- ML1 Librarian, 65pts

So basically 30 man marine blob marches down field with support from vindicators and ironclad.
Devastators and predators sit in the backfield and zap hard targets. The librarians will attach and
operate with units as their rolled powers dictate. Likely to be rolling on divination, although I like the
2 defensive abilities in telepathy.

I am sure it will looks cool on the table as that is 30 Marines moving while firing , but I am also pretty sure your marines will get blown off the board quickly by the now en-massed AP3 shooting weapons, even IG guard blob with one or two Leman Russ Batle Tank hiding at the table corner will give footslogging marines horde a headache, let alone Tau or Eldar. Your invisibility casting Libby can only protect one squad or two.......

General suggestion is load your marines in transports, be it Rhino or droppod or Razorback, they will significantly reduce the probability of your marines die before doing anything. Also, they are great in giving your marines mobility, helping them to capture the objectives.

I’ll agree that footslogging marines are not the best option these days. Plus with Sicarius, you can give one of them a special trick, but they don’t have the tools to really leverage that.

If you are going to run the stock ironclad, he really wants a pod. If you are going to walk him, I might actually consider the hurricane bolter. Now that he’s 4A base, the extra one for two CC weapons isn’t as critical. Might also be worth putting the HKs on him.

You probably want that 4th LC on the devs.

Tac squads need a lot of help. 30 naked marines in the open are just targets. They need transports, and at least the special weapon. Matching combi on the sarge would also go a long way to making them effective. Heavy weapon is gravy, and one I’d recommend to a fellow Ultramarine. If we don’t follow the Codex, who will? But mechanically I can see leaving it at home if points are tight.

You could shave them down to 5 man squads and put them into razors. I like full 10 man squads in pods/rhinos, but am old fashioned like that. Both work.

I get that the attack bike is just there as a formation tax. He’s not going to do much. I’d rather see a few more points invested into a unit that actually can accomplish something. Even upgrading to a MM would give is some presence on the table. But a grav bike squad, or a TML/HB speeder could actually cause some harm. Or if you want to be fluffy, 5 assault marines with a pair of flamers is a fine bully unit, and doesn’t cost that much.

You have a lot of points sunk into the vindi squad. While the potential of the mega blast is there, I think the odds of getting it off don’t justify the points. You need all three tanks to be able to fire, so all it takes is a stun and you are just shooting the remaining tanks normally. How many units need multiple vindis shooting at them? Other parts of your list need a lot of help, I’d drop 2/3s of the vindis to gear/mech up your tacs, etc. You can still toss around a pie plate of doom, just not the apocalyptical one.

You see the vindicators wouldn't get stunned, their formation rule lets them ignore penetration results of shaken and stunned, even if they only get one mega-shot off their still three vindicators which I would have present regardless. But yes I do need to do something with the marines, I will work on this and post an edit.
