Deathwing Strike Force

Librarian - lvl 2, terminator armor

Deathwing Command Squad - Assault Cannon / Apothecary / champion / ss+th

Deathwing Terminators - Assault Cannon / th+ss / cf

Deathwing Terminators - Heavy Flamer / th+ss / cf

Venerable Dreadnought - Lascannon / ML / pod

I'm trying to create a fun 1k list I can still win with at the flgs. I already have an Eldar army so being super competitive isn't the most important. But I still want to win sometimes.

My main concern is load outs. Is the venerable dread enough to survive the one turn? I gave him ranged weapons so I could drop him far back. Is venerable worth it? What about the deathwing banner? How do the terminators look load out wise?

Any other way to do deathwing at this point level? All advice appreciated.

u are basically gambling on the ven dread making it to table and then hoping your deathwing can carry you to to goal line, idk if it will work that often

DA army: 3500pts,
admech army: 600pts
ravenguard: 565 pts

Agreed, its not a great deal of models on the table either, there will be armies out there able to pour so many shots into you there wont be much left to hold positions etc afterwards, no matter how good termis can be at damage sponge tactics.

Yeah that is basically the plan. It's deathwing at 1000 points. I'm not sure what other options I have.

I could swap the dread for a small Ravenwing attack squad (speeder+bikes) but I don't know if it's any better. With the dread the opponent does have to take out 2 av12 vehicles in one turn. The dread also gets shoot+run and has to be glanced out.

I know there will be some armies that will be uphill or impossible to beat from the get go. I'm cool with that. I guess Im asking if the list as a whole is a non-starter, and if not, how can I optimize it. Thanks for the feedback.
