For example, Space Wolf Terminators.

I don't have access to various SM codex, but in battlescribe I only see land raiders or a stormwolf as a transport option for Wolf Guard terminators

No

Can any Space marine unit fit in a drop pod ( including things like bikes and landraiders ) ?

Can space marines buy separate drop pods as fast attacks

Can any unit (with the correct size) that is allowed by the rule book to enter a transport of that faction using a separate bought drop pod ?

Yes

A Space marine codex isn't hard to find really, don't trust battle scribe our our rulings when you could just find yourself a book or a digital copy and look it up.

If the drop pod is not in the Space Wolves codex, then it is not a valid option for any space wolves unit. Space Wolves do not get access to purchase units from the Space marine codex as part of their detachments/formations.

That said, you can ally space marines detachment with a space wolves detachment and since they are battle brothers the space wolves could use the SM drop pod that was not purchased as a dedicated transport.

Lets stop you there it is. In fact it has been in it for many editions now.

Great, then follow those rules then, I doubt there is a difference in the rules between the two factions as far as Transport capacity goes.

The rest of my post still stands though, you cannot purchase any Space Marine codex unit as part of a Space Wolves detachment/formation.

And unfortunately we can't really give you the transport capacity rules for the Space Marine version since this forum cannot be used as a replacement for the rulebooks.

I'm confused by this. What's the difference between buying a drop pod as a dedicated transport and buying a drop pod as a fast attack?

Without wanting to be rude, you should read the rulebook. It's fairly clearly explained in the transports/dedicated transports section of the vehicle rules.

I'm a bit confused by exactly what you are asking, terminators can deep strike on their own without a drop pod. As said above, you can use a fast attack slot in your force org for one that any infantry can get in so long as they fit. This would make little sense however, even though drop pods are safer deep strike platforms its an unwise use of points for the termis imho. The other thing I feel you are asking is that you can get space marine stuff for your wolves. Although yes they are space marines, they have a separate codex. If you have a space wolves army the only way to use stuff from space marines codex is as a separate detachment, or vice versa. Hope that helps.

In the older codexes Space Wolves were prohibited from teleporting, thus, their terminators could buy and use drop pods is they wanted to deep strike. I don't know if they still can....didn't buy the new codex because they invalidated my SW WG terminator army with its changes.

.Only a fool believes there is such a thing as price gouging. Things have value determined by the creator or merchant. If you don't agree with that value, you are free not to purchase.

Space Wolf Terminators cannot take drop pods as dedicated transports, but they may deep strike.

I don't see how its invalidated.

Also, they can't arrive turn one without drop pods.

As far as I'm aware, all of the codices now have drop pods as fast attack choices.

Disdamn, in the future please do not use dakka as a replacement for source material
