I... actually don't know. Help?

I'm thinking Black Death+Storm Shield, but I've heard a lot of people using twin Wolf Claws. What's the best TAC loadout?

There are a couple of good builds:

Krakenbone sword, runic armor, storm shield
Powerfist, Armor of Russ, storm shield
Black Death, storm shield, runic armor

I usually have one with krakenbone and storm shield, but it's my wolf claw and powerfist lord that gets more work done.

Depends on what you want the lord to do, if you want him to win challenges, then krakenbone sword. If you want him to be a lawnmower, then either lightning claw or black death.

I am prone to either lightning claw or krakenbone and storm shield.

Krakenbone for a challenge master, power fist to unleash your inner warboss (krump vehicles, punch MCs to death), lightning claw to chew up infantry, black death to be well rounded. Personally I lean towards either a Power Fist or Black Death.

I think Black Death/Storm Shield sounds good.

The biggest issue I see with black death is still unwieldy, so you are going to I1, which you are then wasting the lords good I.

He's I5 right? Well what about magnets? Switching ebtween BD/SS, WC/SS and Wolf Claw/Power Fist would be nice.

Initiative is nice but honestly a Wolf Lord is incredibly tanky and the Krakenbone might not actually kill the thing your swinging at. The axe or fist is a lot more likely to kill what it hits. Can also take the Armour of Russ to bring their initiative down to your level if your worried that they will kill you before you swing.

I like the Krakenbone on a lord with Thunderwolf Cavalry.

Cheap and effective. S6, I5, 6A (7 on the charge), 4++, T5. Best of both worlds. Keeps the high I, gets a bonus attack for Kraken and Bolt Pistol, and the invulnerable save only goes "down" by 1 compared to a SS.

190 pts for all that goodness.

The only problem is that I want to run him in both COTGW and in normal CADs. Black Death is an axe, right?

Yes the black death is an axe.

Hmm. are there any COTGW relics that are axes?

I dont think so, only sword and claws, and gun. No axe, then again there is nothing against modeling a wolf lord with an axe and calling it a krakenbone.

There's nothing against it, but it feels...incorrect, especially when that Axe relic is pretty darn good.

I magnetized my lord and swap between WC/SS, Krakenb/SS, PF/SS, etc.

Agreed, magnets are bae. I didn't even just do it with lord, I did it with all twc and its honestly worth the time. even if you only do it between kraken and black death.
