Well, it depends on the unit, but nurgle is usually superior to anything else. (trend in chaos armies, really.)

can neither confirm nor deny I lost track of what I've got right now.

Nurgle is almost always the answer from a game play perspective

Nurgle: 'Cause he's cool, friendly, caring, not a dick, and likable

I'll never be able to repay CA for making GW realize that The Old World was a cash cow, left to die in a field.

I like tzeentch for my oblits but I also put unmarked sorcs with them and roll biomancy to try for endurance and / or life leech.

Works pretty good when I get it

What's most important to you? Models? Fluff? Winning?

Also depends a little on your meta. 5T wasn't really that great when I was facing an abundance of S10 weapons.

Mark of Nurgle is almost universally better than other marks, as against low-strength weapons it bumps up their To Wound roll by 1, removes annoying Instant Death from battle cannons and Krak Missiles, and makes bikes into mini-MCs.

Mark of Tzeentch is just under it, as a lot of units with innate invul saves (such as Terminators and Obliterators) benefit greatly from a superior invulnerable save. However not all units have an invul save, so for them they only get a pitiful 6++, which might as well not exist in most cases.

The other two marks, sadly, boosts CC stats, and this edition CC is woefully lacking, moreso for CSM as we lack cheap Assault Transports and movement modifiers. If you must take them, Mark of Slaanesh does have the added benefit of giving you access to the Icon that gives Feel No Pain, making the units almost like Plague Marines, but for a substantial cost.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

When I'm editing alot, you know I have a gakload of homework to (not) do.

They all have strengths and weaknesses. You havnt really given any indication on what it is you want to do. Is this a theme for your army, what your main squad/HQ should be? What one you wanna write fan-fics about?

Personally I prefer slaneesh just because sonic weapons are awesome, but even my army running Lucius has a fair amount of nurgle in it, especially for units that are already tanky so are just beastly with the +1T (obbies, bikers)

I like fluff, prefer to have fun than just win 24/7 (though winning is nice too ). Khorne is my favorite God, though I like all of them (with the exception of Tzeentch.) I don't really mind what mark I go for, but I'd like to keep it universal across Minis. Papa N will work nicely, I suppose

Yeah, I'm basically the same as you regarding attitude. Winning is generally an issue with CSMs at the moment, unfortunately.

My own army is Khorne-oriented, but I'm considering expanding it out to a general multi-god warband for both variety and competitiveness.

Nurgle in particular is good because with a Nurgle lord you unlock plague marines as a troop, which are a lot more competitive than the basic CSMs. And, you know, general +1T is a good thing.

If you just want to have fun and like khorne, take Kahn and a bezerker troop, stick them in a land raider/dreadclaw and butcher anything they get into combat with.
