I would prolly say servo skulls (auto include) and maybe conversion beamer for even more long range shooting.

Inquisitors are a kind of swiss army knife; they can do all kinds of cool things, depending on what your army is lacking. Sadly, they are a bit dated now in the era of allies, but still mad cool.
So, depending on your list, what do you need help with? I'd expect assault deterrents and a psychic presence. Don't forget they're also ld 10 stubborn, which is neat.
Some great things to do with them:
Psy-ammo razorbacks: TL s6ap4 for 45points
Psy-ammo land raider crusaders: s5 hurricane bolters, s7 assault cannons
Grenades: rad makes bikers t4, psych-out grenades make conclaves I1 (couple with empyrean brain mines), psychotroke for wacky fun
Liber heresius: Scout/counter attack
Terminator armor: Sure, they're just T3, but you can play some games with 2+ and look out sir, especially if you can find some way to get eternal warrior or feel no pain.
For giggles, I took a xenos inquisitor with rad grenades, divination, and liber heresius in a gorgon with 40 guardsmen, 3 librarians, 2 priests, and a commissar.
For inquisitorial retinues, you have options.
1) Combat: Crusaders, priests, assassins
2) Close shooting: cheap accolytes with special weapons
3) Battery: 2 accolytes, psyker, transport optional
4) Long range fire support: jokaero, plasma servitors, accolytes with storm bolters, conversion beamer or psycannon

Couple comments on this.
Chimera is a solid choice since it allows 5 to shoot from the hatch. Problem is you have 8 guys who want to shoot.
What is the purpose of divination? You can't cast blessings inside a vehicle. Unless you plan on them sitting back in ruins.
Acolytes should have Plasma Guns. They get them cheaper then anyone else at the moment. Also the armor upgrade isn't necessary. Just keep them cheap.

Here's my suggestion if you want to stick with the conversion beamer:
Ordo Xenos Inquisitor with Conversion Beamer
3x Servitors with Plasma Cannons.
Chimera.
All 4 can shoot from the hatch at a good range, with high strength blasts, while the AV12 of the Chimera gives decent protection from stuff shooting back. Just don't move the Chimera after you deploy it, because everything is Heavy... I'd probably stay away from Jokaero too - they're ridiculously expensive for a BS3 Lascannon shot. Maybe just one to make use of that last Fire Point.
Of course, that's missing out on the best toys that Ordo Xeno's Inquisitor's have though - those sweet special grenades. I dunno what the rest of your army is like, but anything that is looking to charge into Close Combat will love a Ordo Xenos Inquisitor tagging along with Psychotroke and Rad Grenades.

I'd take divination. If you've got a long-ranged shooty squad, then Divination garuantees you Prescience, which with a conversion beamer and three plasma cannons is worth it on his own squad even if there's no-one nearby worth buffing.
Some servo-skulls are a good call, too; stop infiltrators getting close by deploying them defensively, or else set them up midfield to guide in tank shells.

If youre going for a shooty inquisitor Ordo Malleus is good too. They can get a psycannon S7 ap4 Rending or the hellrifle S6 ap3 Ordo xenos is mostly used for the rad grenades. I know some people love that conversion beamer but its so expensive. At least if youre paying for the psycannon you get terminator armor and an Invul. Also dont write off melee. I have had lots of success with a Ordo Xenos, psyker (divination, or sometimes telepathy) with rad grenades, and a unit of death cult assassins. They blend anything other than TEQs (WS5 S4 I6 A3/4 on the charge, plus rad grenades). So if anything gets close to your tanks they are in for a nice surprise. I am usually able to keep them out of LoS until needed and have never failed to get their points back, and rarely do they not get much more than their points back. I have considered a priest for them to reroll those invuls and to reroll to hit, but They usually drown whatever they are facing that it hasnt been necessary. All while keeping my tanks safe.

What I typically like to do when I ally in Inq to my Sisters is:
Inquisitor, ML1, Servitors (points allowing)
3 Multi-melta servitors
3 plasma gun acolytes
1 psyker
Chimera, 2 heavy bolters, psybolt ammo
This gives decent protection, 5 out of 6 of the guns can shoot from inside the chimera, 2 WC, and the Chimera's 6 S6 AP4 shots.
I like the MM servitors over Plasma cannon because it's so hard to cover more than 1-2 models with plasma cannons unless you catch someone from a deepstrike. And that's before their BS3 scatter rolls, which can't be buffed with prescience since they're inside a transport (usually).

Chimera.
So, I'm not a huge fan of this build because the plasma cannons max out at 36, and the conversion beamer is best at 42+. I think I get what the goal is, and I'm sure that tons of high strength blasts can do work, but unless you can get splitfire in there or something, it just doesn't feel worth it to me.
If you're going to shell out for a conversion beamer (10 points more than a monkey with lascannon), you really want to be making the most use out of it, meaning 42+. The only henchmen with that kind of range are the jokaero. But at 35 points, their BS3 lascannon is pretty expensive. Besides that, if you have a tank army, you don't really need more high strength low AP templates. Because of that, I'd encourage you to use the inquisitor and friends as a short range clean up crew for enemies who get too close to your tanks.
Accolytes with plasma guns, crusaders, death cult assassins, and priests all can do cool things and give you tools your tank company doesn't have.
Let me echo: servo skulls servo skulls servo skulls!

I actually normally run that with an Ordo Malleus Inquisitor equipped with a Hellrifle - that way everything is 36" range and the Hellrifle is S6 AP3 Rending so still threatens the same targets as the Plasma Cannons - but the OP was keen for an Ordo Xenos Inquisitor.

Cool unit. I like the Inq loadout and have used a similar build for a while. However, he does not have access to Biomancy. Instead try Telepathy for Psychic Shriek. Or Telekinesis has some fun random possibilities.

Take a look at the Liber Heresius and the The Tome of Vethric
Both are really good for their points, and you can build some really nice units around them.
And Always take a priest for a unit that will get shot or wants to get in close combat. Give him melta bombz. And you will have the following buffs for 30 points.
- Fearless
- Hatred
- 50% chance on Reroll all saves for the unit in close combat.
- and a melta bomb for the tough targets.
[edit] You might already have better priests since you play guards ; )
Multiple Melta bombz + Multiple re rollable inv saves in general are a good thing to have in close combat squads. These kinds of squads are able to stand toe to toe to most of the bigger toys. a 3++ reroll able doesn't care for Ap2 ; ) They don't like to be shot, due to point inefficiencies and only being T3 so protect them against bolters. But they eat vehicles like candy.
Force weapon, -> Always take it on a inquisitor if you like to insta gib monsters. Same tactic as above but with the option to murder monsters.
I do not like to mix and match units. Units have to be either assault or shooting in my book.
I do not want to pay for plasma guns if they can't shoot and the same goes for the assassins they cant hit things if they are not in close combat. Shooting squads are good in transports / mobile bunkers with firing holes.
Close combat squads like to leave those transports and kill stuff in close combat.
I also don't like carapace armour, it is a bit to expensive for my taste. But this might be a personal favour.
I do like 3 Heavy bolter servitors + an inquisitor with a long ranged weapon.

Acolytes + power sword + carapace are 23 pts. and have a 4+ sv
Crusaders have a power sword 3++ are only 15 point ; )
Those might be more point efficient.

Inqisition psykrs might be the best psykers in the game or their point cost.
The issue with them is that in modern 40k psykers are kinda meh.
1 o 2 is ok ish if you want to cast a few low cost powers a turn. But if you want to cast more you would need a lot of them in order to have enough warp charges to support it al making it a serious point investment.
One tip never add more then 1 inq psyker to the unit. it will add almost nothing of worth.
