assault marines matyh is off, basic assault marines are 70 points and all the upgrades take you to 100, if your giving them all jump packs then your over 130 i think so id go voer your math again to be sure

dont mix weapon types on your preds, either go funn lascannon or just add sponons, its bad mojo to blend them

lack of transports means your tacticals are walking, thats bad mojo.

at 2k points you will probably want an answer to anti-air if your trying to keep thing scheap try this kit here:

https://www.games-workshop.com/en-GB/Aegis-Defence-Line and then make sure to buy the quad gun upgrade (rules can be found in old copies of the 6th edition gmae rules you can find these on ebay for a variable price though sometimes you can find them for as low as 5-15 bucks) and pick a squad to stand behind it. modify the list accordingly, scouts can be a nice cheap way to get this done

at that points value (2000+) expect to see monstrous and gargantuan creatures in all their fury. your list is poorly equipped to handle them i feel no really godd answers for you on this that are "affordable" monstrous creatures are that ridiculous

interesting, i don't really unde stand the issue with mixing pred weapons but then again i've never actually seen one in action. Planning to try keep the tactical s out of the fight and camp OBJ or stay behind cover and gamble. i'll look into the aegis defence line now that ive freed up a bit more points, question is what do space marines need to combat monstrous creatures? do i use lascannon spam?

there are a few ways of tackling monsters: grav weapons, assault cannons do it, melee is a good way to do it, autocannons can help as well.
lascannons are more of an AT weapon but their not a "bad" weapon to shoot at monsters

you dont mix weapons on a pred because tanks can only shoot their weapons all at one target if they dont move, or they can shoot one weapon if they move, or they can shoot multiple weapons or at many targets if they have power of the machine spirit like land raiders do. predators dont have potms so now you have a tank with a 48" high strength gun with a 36" low strength gun. its very unlikely your going to have targets that both weapons can shoot at not to mention the nature of the weapons. a lascannon is a long ranged weapon it encourages you to be far away from an enemy, so your heavy bolter will likely never get to shoot and if it does get to shoot then you might not be able to even hurt the target your shooting at. thats why you dont mix weapons. the autocannon is at least closer to the heavy bolters strength so you can hurt and kill likely the same target as the heavy bolter.

so really the "best" configs are the following:

full lascannons predator for nothing but AT shooting
autocannon + heavy bolter (for less AT but butter anti infantry shooting)
autocannon + lascannon sponsons (for a more ranged shooter that isnt as good at quality of shooting but picks up more dice to shoot with)

ok, to remedy the issue, i've decided that i will magnetize my second pred and keep the all Full lascannon pred.
in regards to MC's, im probably just going to have to spam fire at it and hope it will die.
also going to magnetize the landspeeder and also update the devastor squad with more fire power.
With flyinf units, could i possibly use one of these? https://www.forgeworld.co.uk/en-PL/Space-Marine-Air-Defence-Missile-Launcher
