I was wondering if anyone knows of a way to make grey knights assault after deep striking? Thanks in advance.

it cant be done. The only way to assault out of deep strike that I am aware of is with sky-hammer formation.

If we fail to anticipate the unforeseen or expect the unexpected in a universe of infinite possibilities, we may find ourselves at the mercy of anyone or anything that cannot be programmed, categorized or easily referenced.

So what you'll want to do is find a way to survive a turn until you can assault. A Librarian on Telepathy will get you either Shrouding or Invisibility (both good for your purposes). DS into a ruin and with Shrouding have a 2+ cover.

You can always present bigger threats that need immediate attention for the enemy to handle. 2 NDKs jumping into their front lines with 1-2 DS units means that SOMETHING will survive to assault.
GK have a multitude of nasty assault units: overwhelming your opponent with a number of high priority targets will often cause them to make bad decisions and allow you to get into assault!

there is no way to deep strike and assault on the same turn with grey knights. Instead of trying to come up with a strategy to somehow try and cheese that, do the opposite. I've done pretty well with my grey knights against the skyhammer by taking purifiers with incinerators in rhinos. group the rhinos together and wait. your opponent drops around you (right where you want them) and then kills your rhino, sparing your guys and then assaults you where you still get to overwatch because purifiers are fearless. Then you cut marines to shreds, win assault and then cleansing flame most of his army on the next turn.

I wish. That one change would turn grey knights from a lower tier to a top tier army.

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.

GK might have been intended to, if we can take the leaked pre-7th BRB as what the GW game design team may have intented before the cut and pasted the current BRB into existence. The leaked BRB allowed deep striking units to assault if they arrived outside of assault range, while the GK NSF grants them the ability to run and shoot or shoot and run upon arrival. Combined together, GKs would have been able to assault after deep strike. But GW did not release the BRB that the GK codex was written for, hence the poor overall standing of the current GK codex.
