How skilled do you think you are at 40k, if you go all in?
I'm the best. I can't lose.
I'm well above average. Few people can beat me.
I'm a good player. Bring a good list to stand a chance.
I'm average. Not good or bad, just average.
I'm sub-par. Not the best at strategy but can pull through sometimes.
I'm pretty bad. I can win, but I attribute it largely to luck.
I am literal trash. Why am I so bad at 40k???
It would take the intervention of the emperor for me to win a game.

I'm a good player. Its not your list you need to beat me, its you being a better player than me.

I generally do well with our local group (which is quite skilled and experienced) then panic and make dumb decisions at tournaments when I encounter deathstars or wraithknights. For the last 3 tourneys I've come exactly middle of the road.

One thing's for sure: I would be a better player if I didn't forget about units all the time

I've played over 120 matches of 7th now tournaments included, my winrate is 64%. I've kept a log since 7th hit. I'd say I'm a bit above average on that basis.

E: Fixed 65% to 64% as I failed at calculating first.

to be upfront i know im not good at the game but its largely because i enjoy having fun with army design and bringing things i think would be cool. this often loses me games because i dont netlist i feel that thats a lazy way to build your army and its devoid of any "you" in it

DA army: 3500pts,
admech army: 600pts
ravenguard: 565 pts

I'd be a lot better if I actually got enough games in. Unfortunately I don't have the time to fulfill the modelling side of things and neither my FLGS or I like unfinished models... It just looks weak. That being said, as a Blood Angels and, more recently, and Astra Militarum player, I don't exactly make things super easy for myself. I ten to play in non-competative games and win around 50% of the time, although never with ease.

I'm also one for fluff over effectiveness, but that's something I'm proud of.

3,500 (and building) ASM
3,000 Blood Angels
1500 Eldar (abandoned)

AoS - Beastclaw Raiders, Ironjawz, Night Goblins, and Ogors - Destruction remains unvanquished!

I'm better at 40K then fantasy (we play 9th Age) and I'm a pretty good Fantasy player. But that makes sense because 40k is just soooo much easier then Fantasy and it's easy to apply the same logic to 40K.

On the other hand my list is pretty bad, but i do the best I can with my Dark Eldar and I can compete with the higher tier codexes regularly and win 60/40 if we play Maelstrom.

I stopped Fantasy b.c it was to easy and boring, I dont think I could apply anything Ive learned into 40k or vise versa. I was playing Tournaments till 6th Ed fantasy too, I even at the end of 6th and start of 7th went to Beastmen b.c it wasnt the same old boring thing and had a different play style (and was harder to play with).

I'd be curious how good of a player I am in today's scene. I haven't played since 5th Ed and even won some guys w/ old Necrons. So, I can't suck too bad...

currently playing: ASoIaF | Warhammer 40k: Kill Team

I'm well above average. Few people can beat me.
I got hardly beaten in the last 10 years with my Eldar (ed. 4-6), Necrons (ed. 6) and Smurfs (ed. 4).

I'm trash at any sort of strategic turn-based game, with 40K probably being where I perform the worst. I partly blame this in that the rules don't match the fluff one iota, so I often pick units that I don't know are bad until I see them get trashed in the game.

I can generally hold my own in 1st person games, luckily, though there are still many above my skill there.

It never ends well

Well I pledged my soul to luck when I decided to play the orks so its really hard to tell.

X-wing I'm quite good at because stuff shoots when I tell it too. Sometimes the boyz just have an agenda of their own. I'd say I'm pretty solid though. I win like 50%

I kinda just play what I find fun/fluffy/cool. I'm not a fan of tournament WAAChammer and the power trippers it breeds.
