So i have a Two warrior squads, Two squads of the Scarab swarms One Necron Overlord, And a Triarch Stalker, my friend and i plan to expand this army into something we can share and play around with. What sort of advice do you fine people at Dakka have for us in terms of staple units and units we need to make this an effective army for low point values, right now were aiming for minimum 500-1500 pts.
Thanks in advance!

Tomb Blades are neat, they're jetbikes, and you can give them Ignores Cover for 2 ppm or something silly like that.

For a starter army either a reclamation legion or maybe a Mephrit Dynasty foc. So warriors, ghost arcs, tomb blades and wraiths. Then build up a destroyer force.

It looks like you bought the Start Collecting box, which is a good foundation. Our greatest strength is our troop choices, if you ask me. You can never go wrong with more warriors. Don't forget to but them in Ghost Arks. They're a pain to paint, but they are so worth it once you get them on the tabletop. Immortals are also invaluable. I keep Tesla Carbines on mine and stick them on an objective. The rest mostly depends on your local meta.

If you have to deal with a lot of TEQs (things with 2+ armor saves), bust out the Lychguard with warscythes. They aren't as "competitive" as sword and board, but once you get them into melee, they can eliminate most anything they go up against (assuming they survive to I2). The Canoptek Harvest and Destroyer Cult formations are our most competitive options if that matters to you.

You want to be able to play the core of a Reclamation Legion. That should be a priority. My suggestion would be a couple of Doom Scythes [the flying transports?] and maybe a Ghost Ark.

If you play at "low" points, then a unit of Flayed Ones go a long way for cheap. They're tough, and put out waaay more attacks than their points are worth. Drop them down to hold an objective. Most people will want to ignore them because they can't shoot back, and they don't want to assault them because they're so points efficient at their assault role.

Minor correction here: Night Scythes are the transports. Doom Scythes are the HS. The difference is basically whether you put the Death Ray on the bottom or the Wormhole Generator. Luckily, it's one of the few parts that will hold without gluing/magnetization, so they can be swapped out depending on you needs.

If you want to save money on Flayed Ones, get 2 boxes of Necron Warriors, cut their hands off, and attach trimmed down warscythes (get the bits from eBay) to their forearms. You can put them into running poses as well.

Here is a link to my Flayed Ones:

https://box.es/item/flayed-ones/P4GInCxLK5

At $36.25 per box of 12 warriors and roughly $6 for warscythe bits, you're looking at $78.50 + S&H for 24 converted Flayed Ones and 6 scarab bases.

vs

$180 + S&H for 20 regular nonconversion Flayed Ones.

You already got good advice.
Tomb Blades with particle weapons are great as are Wraiths. They are even better in a Decurion.
One Ghost Ark is fine too. I prefer Night Scytheses to bring my Warriors where i want them.
