None of their current golds are even close. The only Vallejo I'm familiar with is polished gold, which is like the old Burnished Gold, or current Auric Gold. I'm almost out, and hoping I have enough to finish my Chaos Knights. Whatever brand needs to be available here in the states. Thanks.

Which 'old' Shining Gold do you mean?
It's been through several variations.

The original GW paints are still available in the Coat d'Arms paint line.

The version just prior to the change in '12.

That was my first thought, but I'm not sure how available they are here. I don't think The War Store carries them.
ETA: Just googled and found a place here in IL that has them. I'll check into that.

Ah, ok. The Coat D'Arms Bright Gold is a match for the original Shining Gold, but it's considerably paler than the later Shining Gold... Closer to Burnished Gold than Shining.
You might actually be better looking at bronzes, rather than golds, for a closer match.
For some other ideas, Dakka has a handy paint compatibility chart in the Articles section here: http://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/Paint_Range_Compatibility_Chart

They are available in the US from Scale Creep Miniatures.

Thanks for the info. I was kind of afraid the Coat D'arms might be a pale gold. It looked that way from the color swatch I saw on line. I've not looked at Model Master yet, there may be a workable solution there. I wash with Army Painter Strong Tone, than high light with ~ 70:30 silver to gold mix, so it doesn't need to be an exact match, but it needs to be relatively close. I'll look into Vallejo Model Color as well. I do have the compatibility chart book marked, but I'm thinking those are the Coat D'arms Citadel colors, since the Vallejo Polished Gold is listed as the equivalent of Shining Gold, and it's very pale. The quest continues...

Thanks, that's the place I found. Just curious, have you dealt with them?

Yes, he has a very good reputation. However whenever I dealt with him it was always at his shop when he was in Cincinnati. I really hated it when he moved

Good to know. I like The War Store, but I saw some things on Scale Creeps web site that interested me. Unfortunately, his location here in IL is almost two hours from me.

I found it! For anyone who may be interested, Army Painter Greedy Gold is very close. Not identical, but more than close enough. It's just slightly lighter in color. After my usual wash/high light routine, I can't tell the difference.
