At the shop I play at we happen to have 2 separate 9-Story tall skyscrapers. Out of random boredom I decided to set the shop record for an Infantry-single movement from ground floor to the top. It's currently at the 6th floor.
Which brought about this question, what other armies/units can move like that.
My unfair advantage setting the record was using a solitaire blitz on round6 for a 6d6 movement, but I will eventually make that 9th story.

Edit: I would also like to see the total possible movement in 1 phase.
I.e. Solitaire- 12inch base, Blitz in movement phase 1d6per Round# max 7d6
Not including Jumppacks/Turboboost. Only Regular Infantry/Infantry Elites without Bikes.

Here's the skyscrapers and the city. As well as a pic of skyweavers hanging out on the top floors lol

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

Any tau suit : P

On a slightly more serious note
If you just want pure ground movement speed competition-> Ork Speedcult apocc formation outruns your sluggish solitaire doing his "blitz" with their eyes closed. Your solitaire doesn't even come close to their speed.

What's the top single movement in a phase?

i guess if you wanted to do actual movement range a warp spider can use his jump pack to go 2D6 followed by a run move and then a jet thrust in the assault phase.

You can never catch up to them after a single movement phase if the board is large enough ; )

Seekers of Slaanesh are movement 12" and run D6+6. That's "only" 19 to 24," but compared to most things on the table top it's still a coke fuelled dash across the battlefield. Oh, and they have fleet too. When you add in the fact that they're only 12 pts per model, and a large unit will shred just about anything but heavily armored vehicles in CC...

Im pretty sure outside of eldar jetbikes, the solitaire is the fastest possible.

a jump pack would get to the top instantly, so would any fmc, and or a lucky GoI

A Kult of Speed can move an unlimited distance in the Movement phase that it arrives from Strategic Reserve...

I'm not savvy on how that formation works so I'll have to take your word for it. If it's a bike unit you're referring too I probably wouldn't be able to catch them in just the movement phase without max rolls.
The maximum potential movement round5-7 30-42inches.
If we're including all possible movement in a turn not phase the Solitaire maxes out at 72inches in round 7: 7d6blitz,1d6run,2d6charge,3d6hit&run. Not very likely but the potential is still something to laugh about for a single infantry model not on a bike or using jetpacks.

Some have done it with success but it is a dilapidated building in the middle of the board. So definitely can be destroyed as well
