I was just at a store championship and one person ran a Ghost. It was pimped out with the shuttle and a bunch of other stuff, but I don't think it ended up doing that well. Most people's opinions of it that I've talked to aren't very high. But I wonder if it is maybe because everyone thinks that it needs to be pimped out. The base model is only 35 points and unlike the falcon and outrider, the base model has the same stats as the high level pilots.

I was thinking of two different lists.

Lothal Rebel 35
-Autoblaster Turret 2

Lothal Rebel 35
-Autoblaster Turret 2

Blue Squadron Novice 24
-Integrated Astromech 0
-BB-8 2

OR

Lothal Rebel 35
-Dorsal Turret 3

Lothal Rebel 35
-Dorsal Turret 3

Blue Squadron Novice 24

The first list gives a more anti-ace ability in the autoblaster while the second lets you shoot into range 2 on the sides and behind,

That is 38 hit points in these lists. That is a lot to grind through. Also with as popular as the 3 Jumpmaster lists are, these could take those initial torpedo shots and put out some impressive damage in return. Unlike a lot of other two big ship lists though, this one has a third ship that is actually very good in the T-70 - I could also switch out for a B-wing, but I like the manueverability of the T-70 better.

What do you all think, is it worth purchasing a second VCX-100?

I've seen someone use Hera, with the AbTurret, Accuracy Corrector a Navigator and Zeb crew. Pair that with a Sabine attack shuttle, title on both.

Additionally, he ran Roark with a TLT and Intel Agent to somewhat predict nearby aces if they dare come close.

It's so crazy it might just work! As you say that's a crap ton of hull and shields for your opponent to chew through and a basic 4 dice attack is great any way you look at it. It's a shame none of the VCX pilots have an EPT for Predator though to make the Dorsal Turrets a bit more reliable.

Of course you could always match up the Ghosts with Jan in the HWK. A 5 dice primary attack - 6 at range one - is nothing to sniff at

One other list I was thinking of pimps out both ships and drops the third:

Hera 40
-adv sensors 3
-autoblaster Turret 2
-chopper 0
-Dash 2
-engine upgrade 4

Lothal Rebel 35
-adv sensors 3
-autoblaster turret 2
-Zeb 1
-kanan 3
-engine upgrade 4

These are some highly fast big ships. Advanced Sensors and boost first, then 5 K turn or 4 straight can get you across the table quickly. One of them uses a focus first then just runs into stuff and shoots anyway. This could play havoc with those jumpmaster lists and prevent them from firing their torpedoes.

How about Nien Nunb instead of Chopper? I feel like he works pretty well with Hera's pilot ability, giving you ton of options for repositioning once you reveal your dial.

Yes, that would be a different way to go and my opponent would be very unlikely to predict where I'd go, but I think I'd like using the 5 K turn and then using an action in a pinch. With a 5 k turn, you could go way past something and then use chopper to boost back closer or at an angle to try to get your target into range 1. Maybe removing Dash instead? I'd end with 98 points so initiative would definitely be mine...

To tell you honestly being an imperial player I would shudder to go up against either of these lists... far too many hull points

That's what TIE Swarms are for! Through in the Inquisitor with S-Thread Tracers and boom.

I've been trying it out. The main thing will be to really grok the maneuvering options you have - e.g., if you do a red maneuver, what options does that leave you on the next turn. If you can consistently line up shots with your primary, the VCX is going to be a brutal slugger of a ship.

I ran
Kanan TLT FCS R2D2 Recon Spec
Chopper Autoblaster turret FCS Chewie Zeb
with some success. I like fcs due to wanting to get the primary weapon ( biggest strength imo)
R2 & Chewie were useful. Kanan stayed alive way longer than he was supposed to
I'd love to try Lando just to be silly and id like to fit EU on somehow as maneuvering was a challenge at times. Stress removal can be difficult. It would be great to have Kanan on Kanan. So niem numb may show up on future renditions
