Hi guys, playing grey knights a lot more lately and I need some things clarifying.. if you grey knight players can help me!

1. Interceptors are classed as jump infantry, does that mean they move 12"? Or the usual 6"?

2. I know I can mix and match powers on my librarian is there a limit to the amount of powers I can take from different lores?

3. How many dread knights is the minimum people use? And are dreadnoughts good at all?

1. Yes, 12 inches
2. Limit to whatever psyker level they are, Level 2 gives 2 powers total, If from the same lore, then you get the primaris power, so then your level 2 would have 3.
3. Usually 2, the pair can really mess stuff up

Dreadnoughts are typically not good right now in general, and GK's are even worse in ways. Regular SM Dreadnoughts got bumped up to 4 attacks, GK only have 2. AV 12 is also not super survivable right now, with all the S6 and S7 shooting out there.

That being said, they do have a place (rarely). GK severely lack AP2 shooting and anti-tank weapons; the Dreadnoughts can take a Lascannon or a Plasma Cannon, and a Missile Launcher. They also provide a warp charge due to Psychic Pilot.

Sorry. I read as dreadKNIGHT and not dreadNOUGHT. With that dreadnoughts have really fell out of favor since the new codex dropped psybolt ammunition.

Because Autocannons were cheap and could be placed on both arms, turning dreadnoughts into vehicle snipers. (4 twin-linked shots at strength 8 and 48" range).

GK already have str 7 assault cannons.

Nope, still OP for the above reason, plus, iirc, it was dirt cheap. A unit of 10 S4 storm bolters isn't scary. But then, 20 S5 shots as BS4 becomes -really- scary for everyone since you're wounding t4 on 3+, not 4+. and they also suddenly start vaporizing units they couldn't before like AV11 vehicles.

Psybolt ammo on strike squads was 20pts for the whole unit. 20 points to give an entire unit -assault- heavy bolters as basic weapons.
