Hi guys working on a shenanigans list with a bunker and escape hatch placed forward. I am concerned about whether or not the Escape Hatch can be shot or assaulted. Any experience? Thanks. DrG

It is a marker, not a unit so cannot be attacked.

Agreed you can't attack the Hatch, but Does it count as an access point for the building, thus allowing a flamer or grenade attack a unit in the building?

Secondary army: Mentor Legion Space Marines, 4000 or so (heading for about 7-8000)
Tertiary army: Tau , eh bout 1750 or so, (someday 2-3000)

Yes.

You can't attack it, but you can block it with a unit.

Also, I've had an enemy unit embark into my bastion through it. So embarrassing.

I thought you needed a Fire Point, not an Access Point.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

Good catch. I misread that - Fire Point for the 'No Escape' special rule is absolutely correct.

It is of course an Access Point though.

What are the escape hatch shenanigans aside from the surprise melta / plasma squad, and the 12" pseudo scout move ?
You can't assault from it so what is it used for.

Inactive, user. New profile might pop up in a while

get a good position for a shooting unit with short range that doesn't have access to transports.
